just try pinpoint the position where it is crashing, also just ?, are these 10 threads running syncronously, if yes, have you applied good sync logic!, if they sharing same data!

Its easy. I got it. All what u have to do is to put break point on the
thread function(F9 For all the lines) debug and wait for the application to crash.
Thats it.

My application is using the following static control

CONTROL "", DISPLAY, "STATIC", SS_BLACKRECT, 10, 10, 300, 200

My application plota a line in this area, when I clear the line by setting the color to black and replotting the line the liane are is darker.

To resolve this I draw a rectngle using the black brush.

Where do I put the code so the drawing occurs as soon as the Dialog is visable, I tried using the WM_PAINT message but the results were not pretty.

Drawing in response to WM_INITDIALOG will be useless since the dialog is not displayed yet at that point.

Drawing in response to WM_PAINT is always necessary if you want the window to be redrawn when it's needed,
like when a user resizes the window or moves another window off the top of your window.

If you are drawing on a control, then you should be drawing when the control window needs to be painted
(when it receives WM_PAINT), not when the dialog needs to be painted. The dialog will paint before the child
controls since it's lower in the z-order.

You can subclass the static control and do its WM_ERASEBKGND and WM_PAINT andling yourself.
You should see much nicer results.

I used the site code option, which I assumed would retain my formatting, next time I'll reformat manually, I was trying to get dressed for work.

I prefer <pre> tags as the below.

Hi,

I have DLLs compiled under VS 6.0 and additional DLLs compiled under VS 2005. Is it possible to have a main VS 6.0 executable project that makes use of DLLs compiled under VS 2005 or vice versa?

I have tried both, but I keep getting heap corruption error upon exiting.

Thank you!

P.S. I would want to avoid converting the projects to either version.

It's certainly possible to mix the DLLs.

There's also lots of ways to make it break.

If all the DLLs have a simple exported function interface and never pass CRT and/or MFC objects
(or object references/pointers) between them, then it should work fine.

If you want to pass around CRT or MFC objects then all DLLs should be linked to the same DLL version
of the libraries.

Hi, i am writing a project on C# and i want to make it on CD. I've made an autorun on C# for the CD (a simple .exe with buttons). But there is a problem - if a PC doesn't have Microsoft .NET Framework, an application written on C# won't run, so there might be problem with the autorun!!! My question is does C++ have any prerequisites??? Should i write the autorun on C++ some other language (Java perhaps)??? I am using Visual Studio 2005.
