Hi All,
I am getting the follwing error when I try to compilethe code...Please help
error C2664: '__thiscall CUSBMgr::CUSBMgr(const class CUSBMgr&)' : cannot convert parameter 1 from 'class CString' to 'const class CUSBMgr&'
Reason: cannot convert from 'class CString' to 'const class CUSBMgr'
No constructor could take the source type, or constructor overload resolution was ambiguous

Looks like the class CUSBMgr has no constructor that accepts a CString. Can you show the code in question?

Modify the constructor which takes CString as an argument.
I guess you are trying to provide the copy constructor for your class.
Could you please share the code which gives this error ?

I wrote the code like this
CUSBMgr *ptrUSBManger= NULL;

ptrUSBManger = new CUSBMgr(strControlPortName);///error 2664????
this is the constructor
CUSBMgr::CUSBMgr(const CString& strControlPortName)

How does a server manages to accept another connection when already one client is connected. Does it assignes a different port for different clients?

The server has a listener socket that waits to accept client connections - this is the accept(...) function. Once a client connection is accepted, it's assigned a new (seperate) client-socket - this is the return value from the accept(...) function. This client socket is used to communicate with the client (can be passed to a seperate thread) while the server can continue waiting for more clients with the listener socket by calling accept(...) again, and so on ...

I have generated a MAP file for an MFC application with two threads. The load address in the MAP file is 0x00400000. But the program is showing a run-time error for an instruction at 0x77fcca41 which is refering to memory at 0xffffffff that could not be read. But there are no instruction at 0x77fcca41 in the MAP file. I would like to know whether anyone has come across such a problem and was able to trace the cause. If so some help is required

Debugging release builds using map files is outdated, unnecessary and inefficient. Simply enable debug information for your release build (be sure to do so for the compiler and linker) and debug as normal.

That address is in one of the OS DLLs. If you can repro the crash, run the EXE in the debugger and look at the stack trace when the crash happens. You can then look up the addresses that are on the stack.
