I have compiled one application for 64 bit processor. it works fine in 64 bit processor. but not work 32 bit processor . why is it not working ?.how to resolve it.

If you target a 64 bit processor it will not work on a 32 bit one because you will likely use features that don't exist on 32 bit processors such as 64 bit registers. The 64 bit processor's features are a superset of the 32 bit processor's features; this implies that the 32 bit processor's features are a subset of the 64 bit processors. As such you can only expect compatibility in one direction.

On top of Steve's answer, the executable file tells Windows whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit, and 32-bit Windows will only run 32-bit executables.

You mean MFC's CDialog's member functions DoModal and Create? The class has a member variable called m_hWnd which can be access directly or by calling the member function GetSafeHwnd.

I read a coloum value with datetime type into a byte buffer in the program.I would like to display it in list control.
how to convert it into CString object.

Put that ByteBuffer in COleDateTime, and using it GetDay... function get CString object using CString::Format function

Or you can just call COleDateTime::Format() to do the formatting for you...

 I have created a bitmap (8X8)pixels. It is designed to show diagonal lines.
Using this bitmap i have created a Pattern brush and using that brush i have drawn one rectangle. But the problem is that What i see in the OnScreen cannot be same in printout.The diagonal lines are too closer.I think it is due to number of pixels per inch in Screen varies with Printer

You might try using CreateHatchBrush[^] instead of CreatePatternBrush.

CreateHatchBrush can be used for creating single hatch lines in the diagonal view.But i want to create double hatch lines closely in the diagonal area.Thats why i have created Bitmap using double hatches in the diagonal area and using that.Can u please help in this?....

The problem you are having is due to the fact that a brush draws in terms of pixels. The printer has a much higher resolution, causing the bitmap hatch on the screen to appear much smaller.
I think the solution is to use a different bitmap for the printer. The printer bitmap should be scaled larger by the ratio of the printer resolution vs. the screen resolution.
I'm guessing here; this is something you will have to play with to achieve acceptable results.
