Hello.

What's the problem?
If you want to know how to mark the end of a data file on tape, the normal way is to write a Tape Mark.

The rule is:
End Of File: A Tape Mark
End Of data on Tape: Two consecutive Tape Marks.

Is that your problem?

Kakan
