Hi Alexander,

Those asm instructions cannot be directly converted to x64. This is because 64 bit processors do not have the same Register Usage[^]. Most of your exception handling code will need to be re-written for the x64 processor.

There are some articles here on codeproject which may make your transition to 64 bit easier.

Moving to Windows Vista x64[^]

Seven Steps of Migrating a Program to a 64-bit System[^]

Unfortunately the MSDN documentation and samples are not up-to-date on many 64 bit issues. Use the functions and macros in the Microsoft Debugging Reference[^] to port your exception handling code. The asm code you provided is essentially populating a CONTEXT structure[^]. You can use the GetThreadContext Function[^] to retreieve the thread context. The Wow64GetThreadContext Function[^] should be used if your application remains 32-bit running under WOW64[^].

Best Wishes,
-David Delaune
