I've seen it in visual studio, unreal editors and a couple more.
Spy++ gave me this class: WindowsForms10.Window.8.App1
I don't know what the hell is this.

Since I'm still using version 6, and don't see it, I'll assume it a new beast in 7.
I'm with Max on this one though. From the small pic you linked, it looks like a Tree Control that is ownerdrawn. Which basically means you have to 'reinvent' all that the owner draw implements.

I've seen it several times in different applications which makes me wonder that it is a standard one... or made by someone and freely distributed.

If you have seen it that much it is probably part of a frame work or suit of controls that several companies use (like Dundas or Prof-UIS).
It is simplier to buy interface componets the to creat them.

My program is claiming the following runtime error:
Debug Error !<br />
Program : MyProgram.EXE<br />
Module :<br />
File : i386\chkesp.c<br />
Line : 42<br />
The value of ESP was not properly saved across a function call. This is usually a result of calling a function declared with one calling convention with a function pointer declared with a different calling convention.
I can ignore it and things appear OK, but that doesn't solve anything. The message is popping up when I return from my function. The thing is I don't use any function pointers so I'm not sure why I'm getting this. Any other funky reasons this error might show up?
The more frustrating part is haven't made changes to this section of code in months.
Thanks for any leads.

Check that the way the function is declared is consistent everywhere, in code and header files.
Perhaps one compilation unit sees __cdecl and another sees __stdcall or something.
This can be a mess if the function you're calling is in a static library or a dll.
Needless to say, ignoring the error should not be considered an option.

Looks like a macro or typedef has changed and you have not recompiled the function being called with the new declaration. This typically occurs if you have a function defined as pascal calling convention, compile it, change the definition to cdecl and don't recompile the function (or vice-versa).

Hi.
I am having trouble finding out how to change the IP address of my network card. I'm using Microsoft Visual C++.net on Windows XP.
I have come across windows functions AddIPAddress and DeleteIPAddress, but am not sure they're really what I want as I believe that I can't delete the original IPaddress.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Been banging my head on the wall for a while now...
Cheers!

I am displaying a bitmap, loaded from a file, that my users can move and resize as they please. I've managed to implement transparency and flipping and mirroring. So far so good.
Now, under certain conditions (if the bitmpa is linked to another display), I'd like to highlight the bitmap by drawing a frame around it (well, actually I want to frame only the non-transparent region)). I have two problems:
1). I've tried framing the source bitmap - but every region function I've tried seems to return a rectangular region, so I end up with a rectangular frame, not a frame that outlines the non-transparent shape of the bitmap.
2). Obviously, framing the source bitmap is not what I need. But how do I get hold of the (potentially) moved and resized transparent bitmap that is actually displayed?
Thanks

Have you tried CreatePolygonRgn? This is probably what you want to use, followed by FrameRgn or FillRgn.

Thanks for that...I managed to get by bitmap framed using FrameRgn. But I can't seem to get PtInRegion to work reliably. I alos need to know how to 'undraw' the frame when I don't want it to display...

Hello, follow these steps:
1:add a class derived from CEditCtrl(and name is sth.)
2:Add a variable to your Edit control derived from
created class in step 1;
3:Now you can use WM_KEYDOWN of your class.
Wish to helps you.

i would like to know how to progamatically find the process ID for an TCP connection on a WIN2K system. Windows XP uses AllocateAndGetTcpExTableFromStack() for that purpose but this function call is undefined in Win2K.
But programs like tcpview, activeport is able to find the pid in Win2K also...
Does any1 know how to do it?
Thanx in advance...

You can not use any functions that rely on the hWnd been set within the constructor of a CWnd derived class.
If you look at the code you will see that the pWnd is set but the hWnd is NULL.
The hWnd is set as the control is created.

I'm running a C program in visual C++ which uses command line switches. How do I use these as I've never used them before, and don't know how to specify either the commands or the the underlying options.
