Technically, true parallelism cannot be achieved on a uniprocessor machine. I doubt if that's what you were really after anyway, however.

I am confused with the subject and the content of message.
Subject states you want multiple processes and message talks about threads.
Could you please be more specific?
In case of process, use kernel-objects like events, mutex, semaphore etc. to synchronize and for threads you can use user-objects like critical section(as well as kernel-objects).

42 ? Oooops, no that was the answer to the universal question
BTW, what does it have to do with C++ ?

|

YES.
The full question is
S=1+22+32...+...., until s > 10000
s=?

Errr, yes to what ? I was asking what your question had to do with C++ and you answer me YES.

Aaah ok, this is the full question. Now things are really clear .
Seriously, what do you want us to answer exactly ? I mean you post in the C++ forum, so obviously it has something to do with C++...

That will be difficult as I didn't get anything neither

Hi;

I began c++ two months ago,
so my question is .
How can I replace the 5 by x and the 9 by 0?

Huh
This is a really clear question indeed.
The only 'solution' I can give is something like that:
array[1][1] = x;<br />
array[2][2] = 0;
Now, if this doesn't answer your question, then try to be more explicit (and keep in mind that we cannot see your code, nor your screen, nor what's in your brain)

I think your problem is very easy to deal with,you can solove this problem in some ways,one simple way is use an array,just try,good luck!

well, it depends how your grid is defined, 1D array, 2D array ?

I don't mean to sound rude, but this is the 3rd time you have posted this question, but you have never explained anything. All your posts(sadly not just in this topic) seem to be the equivalent of
"My program doesn't work, why not?"
To which others ask
"What is your program, how is it written, what are you trying to do?"
To which you start a new thread and again post
"My program doesn't work, why not?"
You will never get a valid answer if nobody knows what the hell you are on about!
If you want somebody to post the code to your assignments on the web you have to try a little harder than that.

this is more a discussion to the lounge or even better, soapbox material...
it is not a C++ programming question, so it doesn't have anything to do here. and if i agreed or not with your thought, i won't tell you my feeling here...

Look at this person who don't know where to post this kind of discussion topic is raising questions over Indian's programming skills and communication. Better correct yourself rather than passing comments. :->

Computers are not prejudiced. They can be poorly programmed by Indians just as well as they can by any other race.
