Okay you've been asking it many times. I think I will guide you to do the same in step by step manner.
1. Create a dialog base application and add an edit box to the dialog.
2. In the menu, click on project->settings.
3. Under "c/c++" tab, you have "preprocessor definitions". There replace <code>_MBCS</code> with <code>_UNICODE</code>.
4. Go to the "Link" tab. There you have project options. Add the following there <code>/entry:"wWinMainCRTStartup"</code>
5. Compile, Build and run.
6. Now you will be able to type in unicode in the edit box of your dialog based app.
Note: If you change the configuration, you will have to repeat steps 2 to 5 for the new configuration too.

After closing my application i am getting a memory exception. I tried to find out with CMemoryState and had put CheckPoints in InitInstance and ExitInstance. I found these lines as last lines in the output window.
What could be the reason?
#File Error#(2094113917) : {-2027659799} First-chance exception in CallLogger.exe (KERNEL32.DLL): 0xC0000005: Access Violation.
First-chance exception in CallLogger.exe: 0xC0000005: Access Violation.
The program 'G:\KIRAN\VC\DEVELOPEMENT\TAPI\Ai-logix\CALLLOGER\CallLogger\CallLogger.exe' has exited with code 0 (0x0).
Thanks in advance.

Most of the time, it's a memory problem at the level of a class destructor.
There are mainly 5 levels of information that you can get about an access violation. See useful information here[^] (look for the Levels of information subtitle.

Possibly, this is because, somewhere you had overwrite memory that doesn't belong to program.
It is difficult point that out without seeing code.

Your application is muti-threaded? are you closing your threads properly?

Is your application compiled in debug mode, and are you running it via F5 (as opposed to Ctrl+F5)? This won't solve the problem, but it may provide you with some helpful information.

I'm hosting webbrowser control and I need to find some text on the page. I know it should be there but text can be split into more html elements because of formatting.
I could find the text in the body->innerText, but how to find appropriate IHTMLElement interface of the first element containing my text?
Thank you!

Thank you for tip. It seems there is used iteration on all elements. I was thinking of something more effective but I'm afraid this would be the only way

Try using the IHTMLTxtRange::findText method to positon a text range object then use IHTMLTxtRange::parentElement to find the parent element.

Hai,
I am trying to compile my application in VC++, I am getting error "file not found: ..\lib\ScriptHost.tlb". That file is not available in my machine. how to get that file? That file is included in the file
"..\Rogue Wave\Stingray Studio 2006\Include\toolkit\ActvHost\ScriptHost.rc"
Can anyone suggest me what I could do for this
Thanks

Some type library was referenced with the #import directive. Probably, the type library contained a reference to another type library that was not referenced with the #import directive. This other .tlb file was not found by your compiler.
Why don't you contact Rogue Wave Software. You can find their contact website here[^]

Im getting this exception
First-chance exception in abc.exe (KERNEL32.DLL): 0xE06D7363: Microsoft C++ Exception.
I want to get rid of this exception totally. I hav tried hard to solve but in vain.... Can any one help......

A first chance exception is just for debuggers. When an exception is generated and being debugged the handling is two stage. In the first stage, known as the “first chance”, the debugger is notified about the exception and can control further processing. The second stage refers to the normal exception processing mechanism. You’ve got some C++ code which throw s an exception somewhere and it’s probably normal. To find where it’s coming from set your debugger to break on the first chance for the exception type in question.
