I've a MFC Project devoloped using Gamebryo(NetImmerse)Engine. In this Project,
if I change a file for a parent, the clones not automatically updating. The change takes effect only after we save,close and reopen the file. The code for Reload i.e. changing a file is,

Hello All,
I have a application like client can download updated version of my software and I have made that functionality to download my new file from the FTP.
But major problem is my new application takes more than 10 mins. to download to the client's computer and while downloading the new files the TASKMANAGER shows process Not Responding instead of Running.
In the background download process is running so why TASKMANAGER shows me message Not Responding.

Hi all,
I am making a dialog based application.
In that application i have made a list control...
i m placing maximize and minimise button in dialog box.
when i m maximizing my dialog box dialog box fits according to screen but the list control in it does not fit to Dialog box screen
Basically what i want is, if i increase or decrease dialog box size accordingly control size should increase or decrease and it should fit inside dialog box...
How to do it????????????

There are, AFAIK, no limitaions using the runtime libraries in a service.
(Network access might be restricted, however).
So calling time(NULL) is perfectly alright.

Is there any way to hide the DOS window that
shows when system command is executed. system("Dir/ar>File.txt");
lists the readonly files to the file.txt.

Consider using ShellExecute, and use last parameter nShowCmd = SW_HIDE to hide the command window

What is that you want to do? Is prasad's answer not helping you? Have you tried ShellExecute?

shellexecute rund only certain commands. its not woking for netsh. i am getting output with system("netsh > c:\ipconfig.txt"); but i have to hide the dos window

ShellExecute executes everything that can be executed. The problem may be that netsh is not accepting parameters passed on to it.
If you need to Hide the dos window, that can very well be done. Pass SW_HIDE as the last parameter while calling ShowWindow.
ShellExecute(m_hWnd,"open","netsh","","",<code>SW_HIDE</code>);
