Algorithm is explained at places but it is not exact stepwise.

Hi everybody,
if i like to add a variable to a Button,Textbox or label via the Ressource-Editor.
A messagebox appears and says me that the directory has no write permissions.
this "error" occurs now on all dialogs of my whole application.
I've already restart the computer, restart VS2003, but nothing resolves this error.
Does anyone know what it is?

Only on my application.
I have till now a huge number of Dialog-resources with approx. 15-30 controls on them.
Is it too much?
The directories are write-protected (verified via Properties on context-menu of the directory )
But all directories are write-protected in this way.
I already renamed the "res" directory to "resX" and back to "res" so it's not really write protected.
I get this error by adding a variable of a control or creating a CFormView class from the Dialog-resource.

Don't ask me why, but it works now.
I don't change anything into Visual Studio i only watched the user permissions of the source-files

Hi all,
I've copied a VC6 project directory and changed the name, then tried to load the .dsw file from the new directory into the IDE. The Workspace Class View gets down to a handful of files left to load, then just hangs around doing nothing and never completes. The UI hasn't hung completely as I can close it without any error messages, I just can't get it to complete loading the copied project.
Any ideas?

Deleting the 13MB .ncb file then reloading fixed it. The new .ncb file is 2.25MB and the project loads MUCH faster now.

Hi Guys
Just wondering if anybody can help me out with XML extraction using C. I have an XML line like so:
<status>00<\status>
There is a status tag in front of the above as well but it seems to dissapear after posting the message.
My question is how do i get the 00 out of that string.

I am having a script file in mysql...i have writeen some sql queries in it.
now i can run this script file om command prompt thotough source command.
but i have to make a code in c++ or mfc, through which i can run directly that script file without going to command prompt.
I am using batch file..but that also not working..
i wanna use system command of mfc...but that is also not working..
please help me...

but when i run this file promt gos to mysql.exe
but not run the script file...
is their any bug in my code????????

What do you mean by prompt goes to mysql.exe? Or, tell what you want your batch file to do?

I am making a popup menu resource in my MFC project.
I can call it in OnRButtonDown event with code below :
CMenu menuPop;
menuPop.LoadMenu(IDR_MENU_MAIN);
POINT ptMouse;
GetCursorPos(&ptMouse);
menuPop.GetSubMenu(0)->TrackPopupMenu(TPM_LEFTALIGN | TPM_RIGHTBUTTON, ptMouse.x,ptMouse.y,this);
All i want to do is to change check of items. Its first menu items is checked by default.
I tried code below to make first menu item unchecked but it didnt work :
CMenu menuPop;
menuPop.LoadMenu(IDR_MENU_MAIN);
menuPop.CheckMenuItem(0,MF_BYPOSITION | MF_UNCHECKED);
How can i set check states of menu items in my popup style -context menu ?

I dont think that you understand , read it again , you will MF_UNCHECKED flag instead of it , however it doesnt matter i cannot set checks !

Thats I hardly believe.
First change the menu THAN show it.
I also prefer to work with the MF_COMMAND flags because it is better readable.

Unfortunately MSDN says that we cant use MF_BYCOMMAND with popup menus , otherwise it would be very good in the name good code with working defines of resource IDs. (So i am making my own defines)
I think i will handle it

Hello,
I have used InitModalIndirect() for dialog box creation which is created successfully because the function returns 1 after debug but the dialog box is not visible even if I use CDialog::DOMOdal() functin after InitMOdalIndiect().
How do I make the dialog box visible?
