Hi,
I am having an issue with a recordset that is closed after executing a query. The query that I am using is shown below in Query 1.
However, When I change this query to 'SELECT * FROM SOMETABLE', then the recordset is not closed and an open record set is returned.
Any ideas?
Below is my code:
Code:
pRst->raw_Open(vSource, vConnection, eCursorType, eLockType, lOptions);
Query 1:
DECLARE @Id bigint
SET @Id = 2539
if OBJECT_ID('tempdb..#dumpTable','local') IS NOT NULL
BEGIN
DROP TABLE #dumpTable
END
CREATE TABLE #dumpTable
(
Depth bigint,
Parent bigint,
Type bigint,
ID bigint,
Name nvarchar(80)
)
BEGIN
--SOME WORK
SELECT * FROM #DumpTable
DROP TABLE #DumpTable
END

Hi
I have a file name path which looks like:
"C:\temp\temp.txt"
I want to change it to "C:\\temp\\temp.txt".
Is there an easy way to do it?
Thanks,

What are you trying to do exactly ? It seems you are really confused about the escape sequence in a string literal. You only need to escape the "\" character in a string literal (the string you write yourself in the code). If you load the string from an external source (e.g. a file), you don't need to escape the characters at all.

|
|
|
|
right, unless one is creating a tool that will emit C/C++/Java/C# source code containing literal strings...

That's why I was asking him what he is trying to do exactly

Maybe you are trying to change "C:\temp\temp.txt" in your source code to "C:\\temp\\temp.txt"?
If that is the case, you may use "Find/Replace" in your development environment and some regular expression tricks to achieve that. However, I doubt that you can completely automate this process in a very simple way. Manual intervention is probably still needed.

put it in a CString then call string.Replace("\\", "\\\\");

In addition to this answer... watch out, you should check if it is already double or still a single one. Or you can get a c:\\\\...\\\\... string.

What is the meaning of build and revision parts of the version number?
When the increase in these numbers is performed?
Does the build number increase without reset despite the change in major or minor? Does it relate to program or module every recompilation?
Is there any standard description of MMBR values apart from wiki available?

These are just arbitrary values set by the developer to identify a particular build. Microsoft seems to invent a different standard for every product it releases so they are no help. I have seen them use the date and time in some cases, so build would be the number of days since 0 January 2000 (or whatever Epoch you use), and revision is (seconds since midnight)/2 on that day. Can't remember where I found this but I suspect it was somewhere in Google land.

Thank you Naveen,I read the MSDN page you showed me.I think using ON_CONTROL_RANGE can solve my problem.Thanks a lot!

Do this[^] or this[^]help you?
On the other hand, it would be nice to know a bit more...
Which language are you using?
Are all the checkbox independant? or if you select one, some others get unselected (as Radio-buttons)?
To handle them you can use a variable to handle all, or each checkbox can have its own variable.

Thanks Nelek for your infomation.I use Ms VC6,and I hope when I select one all the others get unselected ( AS you guess ).
I think ON_CONTROL_RANGE can solve the problem.I will test it.
Good luck!

If you don't get that solution working. I suggest you to use radiobutton. Radiobutton is more for exclusive selections and checkbox for multiple selections.
Here[^] (section "Using the Dialog in Your Application") you have an example (you can also take a look on the whole contents, it may have infos for other questions you have).
[quote from chapter 2]
The Check Box Control
A check box is a square that the user can click to check or uncheck. The check box control is used to turn a particular value on and off. They are basically on/off switches with an occasional third, in-between state. You normally use check boxes to control discrete, on/off-type variables.
The Radio Button Control
A radio button is a circle that the user can click to fill with a black spot. The radio button is similar to the check box control, but it is used in a group of two or more where only one of the values can be in the on state at a time. You normally use radio buttons in groups of at least three, surrounded by a group box. The group box allows each group of radio buttons to be independent so that only one radio button in each group can be in the on state at any time.

Hi Expert,
Please help me
How to set a tooltipCtrl to be popped up from the system tray ?
Thanks,

Just adding to the above reply, you could consider using CPPToolTip v2.1[^], which I thought was very good.

I'm trying to use my own image (.png) as a ribbon button.
I've managed to place a windows icon on my custom button using this code
<code>
STDMETHODIMP CConnect::GetCustomUI(BSTR RibbonID, BSTR * RibbonXml)
{
if (!RibbonXml)
return E_POINTER;
*RibbonXml = SysAllocString(
L"<customUI xmlns=\"http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/01/customui\"\>"
L"<ribbon>"
L"<officeMenu>"
L"<menu idMso=\"FileSendMenu\">"
L"<button id=\"OfficeButton1\" imageMso=\"HappyFace\" label=\"Happy Print\" description=\"Prints a random joke in the footer of each document\" onAction=\"ButtonClicked\"/>"
L"</menu>"
L"</officeMenu>"
L"</ribbon>"
L"</customUI>"
);
return (*RibbonXml ? S_OK : E_OUTOFMEMORY);
}
</code>
From what I've googled, I'm supposed to create GetImage or LoadImage callbacks. How to do this?
