Hello,
I have created a folder say "Temp".
It has default security settings like
1.Administrators
2.power users
3.System
4.Everyone etc...
In Everyone group entry, it has permissions for read,read & execute etc.
But it doesn't have "Full Control" permission.
How to set the "Full Control" permission for the Everyone group?.
Is there any API's available so that i can edit the existing permissions?.
Could anyone please help me on this?
Thank you,
Shiva

Has anybody used the SkinMagic toolkit from appspeed.com?
Because, I'd like to ask if somebody was able to use it in their program?
I've tried to load a skin in my program but it doesn't work, an error on external occurs when I use the function from their library.
If somebody was able to load a skin, please tell me how. Thanx

Hi all ,
I use FindWindowEx API, I want to send the message to all editable control currently has focus. So I want the common class name for all editable control running in windows OS.
See below
FindWindowEx(hHandle, NULL, "Edit", NULL);
This is for notepad Instead of using Edit I need to use general name for all editable control

I don't quite understand what you are after. Are you wanting to send a message to the control that currently has focus? What do you mean by "common class name" and "general name?"

Yes I want to send message to the editable control that currently has focus.
What do you mean by "common class name" and "general name?"
When I use FindWindowEx I have to pass name for the control as below
HWND hEdit = FindWindowEx(hHandle, NULL, "Edit", NULL);
This is for notepad so from here I want for all control

Use SendMessage() .
dubotz wrote: This is for notepad so from here I want for all control
Not possible. The best you could hope for would be to send the message to HWND_BROADCAST . But this will not work for child windows.

Hi,
here are many interesting articles and samples in the CODE PROJECT about DOCKING TOOLBARS and how to add text, list, buttons inside a dockable toolbar.
But how to add a simple toolbar inside a dockable toolbar and made it active?
Of course, no problems to create and see it in the dockable toolbar by using CreateEx() and LoadToolBar() methods - but how to enable the toolbar buttons?
Neither event ON_UPDATE_COMMAND_UI nor EnableButton() function do not help (if to add them into OnSize() function and do re-sizing of the dockable toolbar with mouse, time from time for a few millisecods the toolbar buttons are enabled, but they immediately return to disabled mode).

I have one serious problem and i shall be grateful if you could help me out. I need to do image montage. i.e. to extract foccused regions from diff. images and then to write them together in a single image file. Lets say there is are different focussed image of a palm. In one image thumb is focussed, in another image middle finger is focussed and in another ring finger is focussed. Now i have to select the focussed regions from each of these images and then make a single palm image in which all these are focussed.
Kindly help me out. My mobile no. is (+91) 9810323094 and email ujjwalkr@gmail.com

U can do one thing set up a threshold limit
for every image say which represent the focused area.
Copy the image in the memory ,
Do this for every image and later on u can merge the
immage.
I have worked a bit on OpenGL but i dont know if there
are any special class developed for such functions.
thank you

You can use this code:
ShowWindow(SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED);
But of course it must be called inside the class of the window you want to maximize (otherwise, get a pointer to the target CWnd and call the ShowWindow from that window).

Errrr... ... I have absolutely no idea of what you are speaking about, try to formulate your question clearly.

I have tired using the
ShowWindow(SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED);
I have created a child window then got the pointer
to the window & when i display the window by
the ShowWindow(SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED);
It should show me two the main window min_,max_,close_ button
& also the min_,max_,close_ button for the child window.
But the child window's min_,max_,close_ button disappear, and
i am not able to close the window

Did you try using Microsoft Spy++ to monitor which messages are being sent?

You'll need to figure out atleast the approximate place where the crash happens. IMO, log files are the best to figure that out.
You can also try attaching the application to Visual Studio, turning on "Break into the debugger on Win32 exceptions and C++ exceptions (Debug->Exceptions) and letting the application crash.

Assuming you're using VS .NET 2003, there's nothing special you need to do. Run your application, fire up Visual Studio, goto Debug->Processes, select your application and click Attach. You obviously won't be able to step through the code, but you can ask VS to break into the debugger if a Win32 exception or C++ exception happens.
