Hi,
I using a clistctrl to display a list of thumbnails(that i extract using shell's IExtractImage). All works well but when i select a thumbnail with the mouse the whole thumbnail is masked with a blueish color instead of just highlighting the frame of the thumbnail as it's done in winxp file explorer(thumbnails view).
Does anybody know how to fix it? Help would be highly appriciated!
Thanks a lot!

if you want to change highlight from ListCtrl you should use NM_CUSTOMDRAW

Hello
I have created the dialog based application . ON that dialog I don't want any menubars and captions. i.e I will disable the title bar and systemmenu.
SO I have to set the image to it. The image will be having the title bar and the close button and minimize button on it. So I want to hide the portion of image having the toolbar and when user moves the nouse at that position i want to show it again.
So how would I achieve it.
Regards
Cheers

You will need to handle the WM_NCPAINT messages for your application. The caption bar and buttons are part of the non-client area.

Your 'question' is a bit vague. The following variables all occupy a set amount of space in the computer's memory:
int x;
char y;
double z; To put information into them, use:
x = 1;
y = 'A';
z = 9.01; To get information from them, simply reference them like:
int a = x;
or
printf("%d", x); If I'm way off, please restate your question and what you are trying to accomplish.

Hi!
I've searched the site and the forums, but I have only found sth about that topic using the MFC. I need that in pure Win32Api.
How can I make Menus look like they are in vs2005 or sth. I mean the gray background, icons and so on?
I hope you can help me

MFC classes are only Win32 wrappers. so if you look further in the MFC examples, you could get which win32 functions are used...

Hi,
I have just started using VS2005 and I have found that when I try to run any application that I write on another PC is refuses to run and gives the following error.
'This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.'
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Many Thanks

missing some dlls/config files ?

Yeah, I guess so. I have tried it on 3 PC's here in my office and they all give the same error message.
I created a really simple program, just an MFC Dialogue Box, and even that gives the error. What I don't understand is how I have this error straight out of the box and others do not.
What the hell am I doing wrong?
