I want to create bitmaps and save them on the hard disk.
May be i can start with 1.bmp, 2.bmp.... so on.
Basically on one webpage there is slideshow.
i want to find this window of webpage ,
I want to initiate a timer (same as the webpage interval at which slide changes) , at this timer event I want to capture the slide or web window as bitmap and save it on harddisk at any path.

How to find such a window. (internet web page)
How to create and save bitmap in the above manner.

Any hints?

One of possible method of capturing parts of HTML content can be based on the screen-capture operation, performed for maximized and on-top browser. In this case you do not need to find the window which contains the HTML content. Just save the image of the screen. You can also capture only the needed region of the screen.

And what is your watchog supposed to do exactly ? And what is the 'resolution' you want to achieve ? (remember that windows is not a real-time OS).

A while ago, I wrote a simple little app which would look for a file in a marticular location - e.g. c:\MyFolder\MyWatchdogFile.txt". If it wasn't there, the app would restart the PC using ExitWindowsEx(), with the correct parameters set. If it was, it would remove the file.

I arranged for the Watchdog app to check for the file every minute, and my main application to write the file to the folder every minute as well.

This did work for me, however, some of you super programmers may find problems with this?

A minor suggestion - an application I worked on created the file every minute (say), while the checking application checked every 2.5 minutes. Just a little extra buffer in case there is a small time overrun, but the creating program recovered without hanging.

What do you want to do exactly ? Execute the program to open the file ? Then you can simply use ShellExecute for that, the file will be opened by the correct application.

If you want just to retrieve the name of the app (for example), then you have to look in the registry but I cannot help you more on that.

   To all - this is the right solution to find an associated application. ShellExecute/Ex(...) only launches it (if one exists).

what should i choose either editbox or richeditbox for following problem.

i have one dialog on that one edit box and 11 button first 10 buttons are 0,1,2,3,..9.and 11th button is delete.
if u run this i clicked 0123456789 ok now i selected 6789
from mouse and click delte button then 6789 should delte..again if i press any jey it should be after 5.
so please solve my problem

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
