Iam getting Application error in vc++,
The error is
The instruction at "0x00004e47" referenced memory at "0x00004e47".The memory could not be "read".
What i have to do to clear this error?
Thanks in advance.

Use your debugger to locate the problem. You are trying to access memory where you shouldn't, so you certainly did something wrong.
(To start your debugger, press F5, to set breakpoints in your code press F9). If you never used your debugger before, then it is time to start using it, you cannot imagine the time it will save you.

If u know C++, then u must know its concepts also, like Dangling Pointer.Otherwise it means, u r weak in C++.

are you stupid ?
i ask you to answer the guy typing your answer in full words.
"u" is not proper english. type "you"
"r" should be written "are"
if you're too lazy to 1) write your answer correctly and 2) understand what i tell you, i think it's you who is missing something.
BTW, i perfectly know what you call badly "Dangling pointer" (without much explanations)

Dangling Pointers means, u r using a pointer that is invalid (it is not pointing to valid memory location) at the time of usage.

Hi,
I am using cl.exe to compile my project. Here I gave cmd line as below
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\bin>cl -c C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Visual Studio Projects \Collection\Activation.sln
Here it shows an error message
"This application has failed to start because mspdb71.dll" was not found."
How to resolve this problem ?

search for that dll in the visual studio install directory. Add that path to the evironmental variable PATH.

instead use API
LoadString( HINSTANCE hInstance,
UINT uID,
LPTSTR lpBuffer,
int nBufferMax
);

Use ::LoadLibrary to load this dll first then use LoadString .
