More specifically, I suggest the use of the read function. There is an exemple of how to use it here[^].

Two points:
1) "kernel mode" and "service" do not go together - services usually run in the local system account which is NOT the same as kernel mode
2) Try something radical like searching the articles here on CP with the word "service" - first result is a nice beginner's article

I have developed one Image Viewer ActiveX control in vc6. It working fine in IE and Its not working in other browsers like
Mozilla, Netscape. I came to know that I need to write Plugins for working ActiveX controls in Mozilla Firefox etc.
So Can you please tell me how to write Plugins for ActiveX control to work in Mozilla Firefox.

IE and Firefox are two different engines. How do you expect something that you developed for IE to work on Firefox?  For Firefox development, search google for "firefox addon development".

Hi All, 
I am using VC++ Simple Application.I want to knnow the information about my internet connection. Information like Connected State , Speed, No of packets sent and received.How can I get these all??
And one thing I have got the connection status througth InternetGetConnectedState() function. But how can I get other information. Are there any Structure or APIs to do so??
Any suggetion will be hertly appreciated.

If you want to have more control for Internet connection Send/Recv/Timeout,... On your system you have a tools its name is Performance it shows detaily of system but you can see source code of performance at the MSDN.

I think it was on the example of MSDN,did you have MSDN on your system? also other exmple on the example of MSDN was PVIEWER (I think) of course its about processes and threads.

If you search on the MSDN site you can find it I found performance but its with C# here[^] and also I think you can find it here[^].

For speed I dont know but I think performance has counters for it I found perform and pviewer on the example of MSDN on the CD (I found it on the Old example of MSDN) but I cant send it for you because its size is 3MB and If I want to send it for you I will be need to 13 minutes (without Timeout.)

Look into GetIfEntry() and the Win32_NetworkAdapter class.

I have a form which is of CFormView and i am trying to implement a OnOK() function. but its not getting triggered. what can be the reason? cant we use OnOK function is CFormView Class? if not is there any other option?

OnOK is member of CDialog.
