yes , I got the syntax. The syntax is (a.*(a.ptrfun))(). But i am not able to understand why this is so complex? If you have any explanation for this, kindly reply.

(a.*ptr)() means "take the object a and the method pointed to by ptr, then call that method using a as this". The "use a as this" part is where the complexity comes from. You can't just call ptr() because you haven't said which object to use as this.

Right-click the file and select Properties.

Hi,
How can I select all item of ListView?
I used :
for(int i=0;i<ListCtrl.GetItemCount();i++)
ListCtrl.SetSelectionMark(i);
But it do not show the selection color.

Try as below
ListCtrl.SetItemState(-1, LVIS_SELECTED, LVIS_SELECTED);
The -1 that is first parameter is meaning that all items is applied.

what is cximage  ? I have used Search to look for demo.exe but it reads "search is complete. no result to display"

I know cximage is a class for handling, um, images that is published in an article on this website.
Do you want to add a menu to the demo application that probably comes with that that article? Then you would add it in the same way you do to any other application.
If that is a struggle (and it was for all of us at some point), then use the appwizard to make a plain SDI app (or MDI), and see how it is different from the application you have.
Or ask on thr CXImage article page for more specific help.

I have a video which updates data every 40 milliseconds and i have some text data also. now i need to synchronize the data and video. what needs to be done for this?
there are 50 samples for each second in the text file. some documents will be of great help.

It depends on the clock source.
Is there a clock available from the video? From the text source?
You need a 20ms clock tick for the text and you can render a frame every other tick.
