I am having a lot of trouble with this when I thought that it was supposed to be really easy. I have a form designated to specific settings in my program. Specifically I need to manipulate a tab control (I got that part down.) But I can't figure out how to do this on another form and have code work for the other. This is essential or I can't implement any optional settings. Please, I only have a week until this thing is due.

Why don't you give us the code you have and let us know where you are getting an error and what error you are getting. Generally, if you have Form1 and Form2 and Form1 has the tabcontrol, you should be able to put code similar to this on Form2 to manipulate Form1:
Form1.tcMyTabControl.SelectedTab = tpMyTabPage

I have a thread running in the background of Form1 and the thread permanently opens up a new form, Form2, by calling the ShowDialog() method of Form2. On form2 I have a SaveFileDialog but if it tries to open I get this error:
"Current thread must be set to single thread apartment (STA) mode before OLE calls can be made. Ensure that your Main function has STAThreadAttribute marked on it. This exception is only raised if a debugger is attached to the process."
What can I do to resolve this?

How so? I have a datatable in memory that I want to write to .csv. Can I use an adapter, or do I have to enumerate the rows and columns of the table, adding my own commas between each cell and writing the result as a text string?

To use an Office 2007 feature, you will have to use Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO). Another option would be to use Dundas or another charting API.

hi in your vs IDE select following
Tools-options-Projects and Solutions-General
select the "show advanced build configuration" option at right hand side and click Ok button

Hello every one..
I have a VB.net application in which i have some common functions in a Module.
Now the issue is...
i call a function (say func_mod()), in the module from a form (say frmMain).
There is a msgbox displayed in func_mod(), on click of "Ok" of the mesgbox instead of going to the next line of the func_mod(), the control gets to frmMain_activate, then to the next line of func_mod.
Is there any way that i can make it sure that the function gets executed first and then the control moves to form activate

No. As you are using a message box, you are returning control to the windows system, so any event may occur.
