I see, in my opinion the driver of your flash drive might include in the CD or diskett ship with this flash drive. Please verified your flash drive package that you purchase from the seller. If there is no driver on a CD or a diskette provide with your flash drive package, you should contact the seller to obtain its driver.

Ok, so you should check for the disk of driver which might be ship in diskette or CDROM. If you could not found it, you can check it at the place that you purchase this flash drive.

Some MP3 players recommend that you remove the batteries before attaching it to the computer.

fine enough,
wat i can guess is u must be using any router ???
if yes reduce MTU size in router and if no/yes in both cases reduce
the network card speed of in yr computer ( keep it 10base half duplex )

oh really?? yes of course I use a router. I'll keep this in mind. But out of desperation, I reinstalled the OS itself, now it works fine. May be it reset the MTU size to a lower bound? , thanks for your reply.

Hi all,
I have a shared folder on windows 2k, a service running under userA on a windows 2003 server need to read from this shared folder. I create a user account on my windows 2k and use the same password as the userA account on windows 2003 server. the service cannot access the shared folder.
But if I run this service on my windows 2k and access a shared folder on another computer. every thing works fine.
all the computers are stand alone. not in a domain.
What make the different between wind 2003 and win 2k? How Can I do it on Win 2003?
Thanks

In my opinion, you should check the below point:
- The permission that you assign on bother computer. Is it the same or not.
- Make sure that your UserA account on both operating system has the same group level.

To add to Roath Kanel's comments, check/adjust your server 2003 firewall.
You may find that is the reason.

The userA is assigned the same group on both side and the shared folder permission are the same.
And I didn't turn on the firewall on 2003.

I have a mother board (I decent one from Asus) that has an on board Marvell Yukon GigE network card.
Since I have had it, at random times (not really so random though) it seems to just go nuts and completely loose its configuration.
I have the card set for 100Mb full duplex and it is assigned for a static internal address. From time to time the card seems to just revert back to an autoconfig address and from that point on obviously I have no network access. All I need to do to fix it is disable it then re enable it.
Has anyone seen this before?
It passes all loop back tests and just on the safe side I have changed cables and updated drivers. No luck.
If I did not know better I would almost say that it seems to be load related. I have left it go when I was away from the house and am not using it it seems to last just fine. If I do downloading it seems (I say seems because I really can't prove it yet) that it happens when I get to around 2 gigs of downloaded data.
Very odd... I am getting ready to just slap in an addon NIC card but figured I would ask around a bit.

In my opinion, your best solution is reading the manual documentation which ship with this morther. Try to read the section of driver installation and check whether there is an instruction to install a network card driver. On the other hand, try to check whether your operating system is support with your network card a motherboard.

Hi,
I'm learning how to insert a button into another application's window using c programming. In short, I wrote an EXE file which modified a particular Window of another EXE file to insert a button in that window. Need some advice:
a. I was able to get to the other application's window by first hooking onto the other application's window handle. But the strange thing is that my callback function for WM_LBUTTONDOWN of my introduced button was not called when I click on the inserted button. Instead, I had to do a GetMessage in my main program to get the message for the button and check the message member in there. With this, I was able to insert an extra button into a messagebox in another EXE file while it's running.
b. What I don't quite understand is that when I try to use the same technique on different windows, I get different errors. For instance, if I were to insert a button this way into a .NET window, the button shows up as a white patch. It responds to the click though. For some other programs, my button crashed without inserting itself. Puzzled by the different behaviour. Is it due to the windows message queue and the different nature of windows that I'm getting this?
c. Strangely, although my callback WinProc function is not called when I click on the button, not defining the WinProc actually causes my program to die when attaching itself to any window that's not a messagebox. Not quite sure why.
If someone can guide me to any article on how to insert controls into another app's windows or to understand the windows message loop more, I would be grateful. I'm trying to do a little enhancement to a program whose source code is lost (ie, I only have the binary).
My code looks like this:
#include <windows.h>
#include <stdio.h>
LRESULT CALLBACK WindowProc(HWND hwnd, UINT msg, WPARAM wparam, LPARAM lparam);
int WinMain(HINSTANCE hInst,HINSTANCE,LPSTR,int)
{
HWND hWnd, hwndButton;
WNDCLASS wc;
MSG msg;
// Trace Windows Handle based on Name
hWnd = (HWND) 0x1D0458;
printf("Begin Program\n");
wc.style=CS_HREDRAW | CS_VREDRAW;
wc.lpfnWndProc=WindowProc;
wc.cbClsExtra=0;
wc.cbWndExtra=0;
wc.hInstance=hInst;
wc.hIcon=NULL;
wc.hCursor=NULL;
wc.hbrBackground=(HBRUSH)COLOR_WINDOWFRAME;
wc.lpszMenuName=NULL;
wc.lpszClassName="BUTTON";
if (!RegisterClass(&wc)) return 0;
printf("Finished Creating Button");
hwndButton = CreateWindow(
"BUTTON", // predefined class
"H", // button text
WS_VISIBLE | WS_CHILD , // styles
// Size and position values are given explicitly, because
// the CW_USEDEFAULT constant gives zero values for buttons.
950, // starting x position
0, // starting y position
20, // button width
20, // button height
hWnd, // parent window
NULL, // No menu
(HINSTANCE) GetWindowLongPtr(hWnd, GWLP_HINSTANCE),
NULL); // pointer not needed
if (!hwndButton) return 0;
ShowWindow(hwndButton,SW_SHOW);
UpdateWindow(hwndButton);
while (GetMessage(&msg,NULL,0,0) > 0)
{
TranslateMessage(&msg);
DispatchMessage(&msg);
printf("In Message Loop");
if (msg.message == WM_LBUTTONDOWN) {
MessageBox(0,"Button Worked in main loop","Button Worked",MB_OK);
printf("Works!");
ShowWindow(hwndButton,SW_SHOW);
} // end if
if (msg.message == WM_DESTROY) {
printf("Quitting\n");
// exit(0);
} // end if
} // end while
}// end all
LRESULT CALLBACK WindowProc(HWND hwnd, UINT msg, WPARAM wparam, LPARAM lparam)
{
return DefWindowProc(hwnd, msg, wparam, lparam);
}
