Webcam Streaming Service For Free

I planned to create a free web service that provide webcam streaming capability.

1. When a user login to the page
2. The user attach his webcam to the computer
3. Webcam will be detected and the video is broadcasted live
4. Other users will be able to view the broadcast anywhere

I planned to use Java to build this service, but I am not sure Java will have libraries that support such features. I know Adobe to offer such streaming capability, but i would like to know whether Java has any similar libraries or third party apps. Cost is the main concern as I would like to reduce the cost of this service.

Opinions are welcomed !!

You're right, because everyone absolutely needs to have a program like this in a business environment. It wouldn't be homework at all to test if an integer is positive, negative or 0, or maybe even selecting which case applies to determine the desired string, go do your own homework, no one here will do it.

Read this for your code[^], pay attention to lines 2 and 9.

read this already[^], and again, look at points 2 and 9. Homework in college is still homework. And run the program to see if it is right. If you fail, go see your "college" teacher and tell him you need help, badly, as this is the simplest possible homework assignment I have ever seen.

I *gave* you good advice, I clearly highlighted the if and select case keywords before for a reason, and if you didn't pick it up then you haven't read your book or gone to class at all, as they are QUITE obvious.

i will have you know u cheeky little fecker that im in Ireland and the classes are semseter 1 and 2 and only in semester 2 did we start programming so cant your facts straight and i have been going to class we cant be all freaks like you i suppose we do have lifes over here!

You are definitely a beginner in programming, and you obviously cannot know everything. So asking for help is somewhat legitimated.

BUT, you cannot come in a forum and ask "can someone do this or that for me ?".

What you are asking is obviously homework (not an insult, but homework anyway). And then if you can't even do the basics, try yourself what you've been asked to do, and understand what is wrong in it is just not the way to go. homeworks are there to make you learn things. If you ask someone else to do it for you, you will never learn...

and if you definitely cannot do the basics by youself, and if you're not interrested to understand how to do it yourself, then you're in the wrong path, and you should probably think about doing something else of your future life.

Now, if you have so code you want to share, by explaining exactly what is wrong and what you are trying to do, then I'd be glad to help.
But no need to insult other members who are trying to keep a little sanity in this forum.

i do have a program written down and the comment from starting from scratch means im only new and i need a little bit of help so see where im going wrong and it wont run thats why im asking the stupid question and you coming back with stupid comments like that!
