i'm new to Android development. i have downloaded Android Studio. i've made no adjustments by any means to any of the documents. i've attempted to comply with the commands at "developer.android.comtrainingbasicfirstapp" as far as possible (it appears to be for a one-of-a-kind version because there are variations among what it says will be there and what is).
when I try to run (don't forget this is an certainly bathroom-general installation with nothing changed [other than a name for the app, and downloading NDK - again, something not mentioned on the training site]) i am getting to a conversation referred to as "Edit Configuration" (no longer referred to on the schooling web site). placing this up as best i'm able to (there's no "pick deployment goal" as mentioned on the training web page), and urgent run, i'm informed that the configuration is inaccurate but with really no Android indication of the problem. If I select "run besides", i get "Gradle synch failed - repair your assignment and attempt again", again, with no indication of what is wrong.
i've spent numerous hours googling this trouble but with out a fulfillment. some answers consult with different versions, some to conditions in which humans have introduced application code (which has caused the mistake in a formerly operating setup), and a few suggest making very dramatic changes to the files and set up of the development system which i'm loath to do due to the fact, frankly, I do not know what is going on, and do not want to stray similarly and similarly from what have to be an operational default as downloaded.
Can all of us explain exactly what is wrong with the usual, default, project, as provided through Google, what is wanted to run it,and, as an advantage, provide an explanation for why one Earth Google release a development gadget that may not even compile and run the most effective initial software they, themselves, supply?

I am attempting a course in Java
The instructor wants us to use...
- JDK 8
- JKD 9
- Eclipse
- The Window Builder Editor (if the regular install won't do it)
- JShell
- Android Studio
As best I can tell, those six tools will cover everything I'll need to go through this course.
CURRENT FAILURE: When I go to the URL which the instructor provides for placing JDK 9 on my machine, I arrive at a screen which has no link nor any observed instructions/directions/procedure/whatever for installing that version on my machine.
My machine is Windows 7
Advice, Suggestions, and Directions are welcome.

Use a web search to find the JDK 9 download page: Java SE Development Kit 9 - Downloads[^].
If you are using a 32-bit Windows 7, you are out of luck:
JDK 9 is only available for 64-bit operating systems.

Jochen Arndt wrote: If you are using a 32-bit Windows 7 Good thinking. I'm pretty sure that this is a 64 bit machine, but I don't know the magic sequence of where to click to confirm/refute this.
I just spent five minutes clicking around on likely places, but couldn't find it.

You need to have a 64-bit Windows (you probably have a 64-bit CPU but installed a 32-bit Windows).
I have only Windows 10 here at home but should be the same / similar for Windows 7:
Control panel - System - Info (the general info page where the Windows license / activation is shown).
Or just start the installation of a 64-bit application. It should fail with a 32-bit OS.

Finally found it, more guessing; I should have checked here first, where you provided this answer...

So anyway, yes, he reports that this is a 64 bit operating system.
Thanks.

That seems like a lot of overkill just to learn Java; JDK 8 and Notepad is all you really need. Android studio is only required for building Android apps, and you need a solid grounding in Java before attempting it. Take a look at The Java™ Tutorials[^] where you can learn all you need.

Member 13515332 wrote: i dont have any idea These two statements do not really fit together. You should have learned about server communication at the beginning of your project.
You need to be more specific about which parts of this you do not understand, and exactly what help you need.

Yeah Please give me an idea about how to do it...So that i can learn For My Project.

Sorry, but you are asking for a complete tutorial on communication between a client and web server; you cannot learn that in a few hours.

I suspect you are out of luck then.
You have specified something that requires quite a bit of code and knowledge. Presumably you need to create both ends.
If you had time I would suggest that you learn one side first and use something simple like a hello world example. You can find examples of that by googling.
But either your class is poorly designed (teacher fault) or you haven't been keeping up (your fault) if this is the project and you have no idea how to do it.

Hello
I am a beginner in programming java jee, I am currently working on an application and I hangs the derapt how to establish a connection between eclipse and mysql 2014, I also ask if you have links and even book that explains how program with jee (jsf and primefaces also spring for security),
excuse me I do not speak well English

See The Java™ Tutorials[^]. Also, you do not want a connection between eclipse and mysql, but between your Java application and MySql. See the section in the tutorials on Data Bases. You can also find lots of useful information from Google.

Please consider the following Java fragment where there are two classes defined: Tire and Radial. The class Radial has Tire has its super class. That is, Radial extends Tire.
public static void addBrandTires(List<Radial> parts1, List<? extends Tire> parts2,
String brand)
{
ListIterator<Radial> li = parts1.listIterator();
while ( li.hasNext() ) {
Radial t1 = li.next();
if ( t1.getBrand().equals( brand) ) {
parts2.add( t1 );
}
}
}
The call to add generates the following compiler error:
error: no suitable method found for add(Radial)
parts2.add( t1 );
Since t1 is of type Radial, it is of type Tire therefore I expected it to work. I tired putting in a cast of t1 but that did not work either.

Missed that casting requirement.

Probably the first time I've seen you make a mistake.
|

You cannot add a Radial object to a List of Tire s, only a Tire object. If you were allowed to then you could start trying to call Radial methods, or access Radial properties on Tire objects, which is not possible.

Hey there, it seems like you're using the wildcard operator "?" and trying to use a method which is modifying the list at the same time.
Now I am no expert but I think the above combination cannot be used since if you want to add something to a generic collection then as far as I remember you have to use the "super" keyword with the wildcard operator to let the compiler stop bothering you from adding modifying your collection and with the keyword super you'll have to change the declaration to one hierarchical level lower as well.
Hope this helps, pardon me if I got it wrong though.
Cheers.
