My blog feed was polled at 9:31 AM this morning, and I had just posted a new article last night. Was hoping to see it "consumed", but it wasn't pulled. It was assigned the Code Project category, and had the hidden code project rel tag just like all my others.
Have I missed something?

Hi,
I have written an article (or prototype of one) on my speciality Serial Comms using Windows. Would it be of any interest to CP (I originally wrote it as a means of better understanding what I was doing) I would understand if it needs work... I did it in Word is that an acceptable format

No, you need to use either the article wizard, or better still download the template and develop it offline, then post when it looks tidy. See the article guidelines[^] for more information.

While I was editing my tip, I had added an icon with text to the right in a table. I wanted these to align along the middles, so I put the icon in 1 column and the text in another column. In the editor, everything looks fine, but when I click the preview button at the bottom, nothing is aligned. I have edited and re-edited the source html in every way that I could find, but couldn't get it to work. I ended up taking the icons/text out of the tip until I could find more info.
My question is: Why would this do this, and is there a way to make this work?

ListView Watermark in VB.NET[^]
here is the link to my article, although i removed the icons and text i had wanted before submitting the article because i was getting frustrated with it. what i was wanting to do was to have a green arrow beside the download link instead of the standard orange one. the icon i wanted to use is still uploaded along with my article though. is this even allowed or do i have to stay with the standar one?

Changing the icons for the downloads can be done if you manually do it, but please don't. Downloads are one thing that
a) should be standard, and
b) will become automated soon, so there won't even be the chance of switching styles

Ok, thanks. It's not too big of a concern. Was just curious as to why I couldn't get them to align properly. It may be that Firefox doesn't play too well with the site or something. A while back, when I was trying different arrangements for the screenshots, I was having the same issues, but somehow I managed to get them to align properly.

Hello everyone,
This may seem like a silly question, but I want to do it the right way.
Currently I have only one article (Data Structures with JavaScript[^]) that was posted a couple weeks ago.
The thing is, I am practicing JavaScript and have done a couple more data structures. If I wanted to provide the source code of waht I'm doing, just like in the article, would it be considered best practice to to start a new article or to update it?

We are doing a project on ECG signal analysis.Our aim is to take a ECG signal available in standard database and process the signal using a algorithm and that algorithm should be able to run in a processor and it should give alert if there is an abnormality.But we have no idea about the algorithm that can be chosen and in which processor does the algorithm work.So can you tell us the algorithms that can be used and in which processor is suitable for running the algorithm.Our basic requirement is that the processor should have less power consumption and more speed of operation but at less cost of implementation
