Please understand I'm asking this question at a very high level. My client wants me to develop a secure web API for capture and reporting on business data. This is the core requirement, and secondary to that, he wants an application that consumes the API. I'm quite happy to deliver both in my chosen dev platform, i.e. ASP.NET MVC4, but I'd like some overview suggestions on what to look at 'horizontally' so to say. Should I cater for multiple formats, be REST? What are my options for securing the API? A good book covering this area would me an immense help if someone can recommend one.

Hi,
I have created a WCF server application, and it's consumed by client. Everything works fine!
The problem is that I need to create a thread for every client that is connected to the server. I have read a lot that the web service create automatically a thread for every client. I tried to connect more clients, and it works.
But I need do create thread manually in my WCF server application.
How can I do this?

Well, it is one of the project conditions. Unfortunately, I have no idea how can I do this.
All I know about threads in WCF, is that WCF uses threads from a thread pool to service requests. So when a request begins it draws a thread from this pool to execute the request and after it finishes it returns the thread to the pool.

The point is, your project condition is already met. Is this a homework assignment? If not, you have already done what the project is asking.

you need to explain more what / why you are after creating a thread manually and what you are after achieving in the thread so that we can help you better.
As WCF creates a thread on the IIS server for each instance that it recieves.

In my Server application I host a web service, which it communicates with client successfully(in localhost). WCF manage the communication between client and service, and it creates threads(automatically) for each client request that is connect.
What I need to do, is creating threads manually in my Server application for each client request.
When thread is started, it will encrypt data's(void function for encrypting) and will sent to the client. after this is done, destroy thread.

Hi,
We have a website that sends multiple emails on many events, but we have heard that if the number of sent emails becomes more than a limit in one hour, the receiving mail server (such as Yahoo! and Gmail) detects the sender as a spam sender and moves all of those mails to receivers’ spam instead of inbox.
Our question is that what is that limit and How to ignore or eliminate this limit?

In my web application, we are using oracle database. my question is connection pool based on web application. Our application end user around 500. for these which connection is better i) create new connection for every request of user. ii) single connection pool via singleton object of the class iii) session based connection pool ( each user has separate connection pool)
which principle is using for web application? can please give suggestion or valuable link to me

If you get a lot of people connecting. Specfic pool for specfic guy is not an good thing because it whould cost too expensive resource usage.
The ideal solution is one link conducting many database links. In my project. One or serveral thread are only conducting database connecting and sql processsing. When finished the sql it will send data to others.

Hello all,
In my web site (see sig) I'm using a contact page in roder to allow anyone who needs to contact the company to use any of the available methods. i.e. form contact.
The form contact is a gathering of information and at the end it sends an e-mail.
I'm using:
<form name='contactform' action='herewego.php' method='POST' enctype='application/x-www-form-urlencoded' onsubmit='return checkfx();'>
The checkfx is returning true if everything is ok and false if any of the fields is empty (or full of spaces).
Given the checkfx funtion returns true, some times I'm receiving all the fields empty and this is worrying me a lot as it seems that the company can be loosing mail contacts and at the same time giving a bad impression to the possible customer.
Any idea on what can be happening?
It seems that between the checking of the fields and the sending of the e-mail the contents are being lost...
