In addition to FTPing your files to the host, either you (via a control panel probably) or your host needs to set that directory as an "application" in IIS w/ the appropriate version of the framework for your code.

in IE6 and opera 9, the image shows correct, but in FF3 the image becomes bigger than original size.
Why ?

I assume it is a Firefox 3 bug.. I tried it in FF2 and it displays at the correct size. If it is this then unfortunately you'll just have to wait until they fix this bug.

Hi All!
I Have Just Ran into a BIG problem while trying to use CSS to define the style attributes for a bunch of XML tags that i'm hoping someday i'll be able to use as a markup language. Here's My Problem:
I Can't seem to use attribute selectors.
My CSS doesn't work in the following scenario:
PANEL
{
}
Which sets the default attributes for the PANEL tag, and:
PANEL[COLOR="RED"]
{
}
Which sets the attributes for a PANEL tag when the COLOR attribute is "RED".
The XML that this is linked to is as follows:
<?XML-STYLESHEET TYPE="Text/CSS" HREF="../CSS/StyleMarkupDefinitionCrystalBlue.css"?>
<PANEL COLOR="RED">
</PANEL>
For Some Reason whenever i load my XML File into IE, i only ever get the default panel and never the 'RED' version, any ideas on why this may be?

Thanks for your help, however the example you provided, unfortunately just shows both 'PANEL' elements green, I am using MSIE 7, is this a browser bug or something? Or should i have something enabled like a security setting?

I'm assuming it's a browser bug as the code I gave you works fine in Opera and Firefox. Running OS X right now though so I'm not too sure about IE.

Where MYLOADBAR is the name of the division that is your loadbar.
Just a simple setInterval method usually does the trick, and this type of thing can be easily modified to do something upon the loadbar reaching 100%.

I have a webservice in a server.And in another server I have a webApplication. When i use the webmethod of the webservice in my webApplication I got the following error.
I had already used this code, but no result.

The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized

You might aware of ClearType or font Smoothing feature by default provided by microsoft on IE7.On XP by defaul it's off.
My application is having Web Control(ActiveX control).and I want to set cleartype on specific to my application.
Can any body tell how can I do whether using any window message or registry settings ?
To set the cleartype on wholse OS I guess there is one API "SystemParametersInfo" that also I don't know how to use to set for application specific. I tried using this API but does not setting into my XP Pro SP2 MACHINE.
Can any body help me on this. ?

I use VS2008 for the screen creation and coding, but I looking for something very basic to show clients (even before I start with the code as part of the detailed requirements docs), nothing fancy. I have a PHP Classifieds (like a craigslist) and I'm using a free host with no mail server. So I'm trying to use the ini_set to use gmail for my mail server. I have no luck. I tried insert the ini_set in the php script that sends the mail. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Your host has probably prevented ini changes. You should instead look at something like Swiftmailer[^]

Hello there.
I have a webpage that need to reload every 10 seconds, so I have put a meta tag:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="10">
Now this seems to work ok.
Now the problem is that my application requires to be monitored most time of the day and some users have reported that the refresh thing stops working after some time in the day.
So is there any problem in the meta refresh so that if it is allowed to refresh for many hours then at some time it stops working and the page don't reload?
Is it a browser problem?
Is there any work around for this?

Hmm.. Can't think why META would stop working, but I trust it has, so, if you don't mind using javaScript, this code could provide a reasonable workaround:

This works in pretty much the same way the META tag does, and, to the best of my knowledge, will not stop refreshing after any amount of time.

We have some code that export a datagrid to Excel, and, for small data sets, it works using 'application/vnd.ms-excel'.
However, there appears to be a size limitation on the data...
EDIT: If I limit the stored procedure to returning only 15 rows and 20 colums, the export works. However, at 20 rows and 20 columns, the error occurs.
If the size limitation is reached, when trying to open the file, the message 'Unable to read file' is shown.
Has anyone found a work around for this?
And yes, I have spent the morning in Google, MSDN forums, etc.
