Hi guys,
I got the idea of searching of my website using Indexing Service from here only and i had implemented it.But i have a doubt on the catalog creation.Once a catalog is created on a particular directory and we add pages after that,will the catalog list that pages also.If not,Is there a way to create/modify catalog in Classic ASP as i have to add some ASP pages dynamically to the directory which is to be indexed using indexing service.Please Help.

I think it internally uses only VBScript and hence you should be able to do the same, <small>subject to permission stipulations and restrictions</small>.

hi I have seen some sites showing share prices. The stock prices just flow from one end to another using a marquee. And the prices get updated instantly.
I want to show data say names of customers from a database like those of share prices in a marquee.
And if names in database changes then i want them to reflect in marquee.

I haven't tried this with a marquee but traditionally when you want to change data that is displayed on a web page you use something like
document.getElementById('element id').innerHTML = 'new data to display';
in a javascript.
Of course you have to assign a unique id to the element to do this.

Hi,
Is there anyway to display the XML string into IE browser. I have a XML string like following:
<report><item a="10" b="10"/></report>
I want to display this string like when we open a XML file from browser. I look forward to see your reply.

I'm getting some values from the database and displaying them in a gridview. Two of those values are checkboxes and come in with the default value from the database and allows the user to update those values. What's the best way to check for an changed checkbox value in a gridview in .NET 2.0?

I have used a Generic dictionary where if the item is checked the database ID of that record is in the dictionary otherwise it is not in the dictionary.
Dictionary<int> checkedDictionary
To see if an item was checked:
this.checkedDictionary.ContainsKey(tmpKey)

i have problem with display text : "My street & # 4 3 ; "in my textbox control When i do that in code behind in my page (i.e in some method tbxCompanyAddress.Text = "My street & # 4 3 ; " ) i receive the same text it means :"My street & # 4 3 ;" in textbox .But if i put that text not in behindcode but only in .ascx in text box property (<asp:textbox id="tbxCompanyAddress" text="My street & # 4 3 ;" ...="">) i receive "My street +" which is requiered!. Why codebehind dosen't work? Please help. P.s There are white spaces between -> & # 4 3 ;<- to show what html entities is input.

Can you use a JavaScript to escape and submit? You can Server.UrlDecode() in the serverside.

Hi all, good day!
I have a current search script that can search into a document. I tried to put this page into an iframe and include it with a long document so if a user searches the find button will be always at the top and just the document is moving, but unfortunately this doesn't work. Pls help me how I can do this?

It is better if you should Ajax/Javascript Grid in your page. There is one extension code for Yahoo Grid. You may google about it..
Let me know if you are not able to find the link or any Ajax/Js grid...
