can you set the scroll property of the selectbox to auto?

the following example is for a listbox, but you should get the idea.

<ASP:LISTBOX id="ListBox1" style="OVERFLOW:scroll;" runat="server" width="120px">

Thanks for your response.
I've tried out the scroll property. But still horizontal scroll bar is not appearing in listbox. I've tried out your given code for horizontal scroll bar but could not able to get horizontal scroll bar. Frown | :(

Not sure, am i missing anything? I'm using IE version 6.0.

Getting the file name using the outputstream

I would like to know whether it is possible to get the file name using the OutputStream alone.
E.g.
public writeFile(OutputStream os)
{
//Within this method I need the file name for which the OutputStream "os" was opened. Is this possible?

No, you can't. You don't even know that the stream results in a file at all. It can just as well go to a byte array.

I am using iFrame to load html file, like

where HTMLFileName is HTML file name.
and html content will be edited in the iframe.

I preview the file by posting the form into another page ,called preview.asp, and save the updated content into the same HTML file in preview.asp. There is a "return " button on preview.asp.
When return back to the iFrame page. The content in iFrame is still the previous version. However, if refresh the page, the iframe will load the new updated HTML file.

I don't know why iframe can not display the updated HTML file?

Can anybody here give me some help?

RegEx issue repeating characters

The company I am working for wants its password field not to have more than two repeating alphabetic characters in a password. For example

aA3234

would be OK but

aAA3234

would fail (AA). How can I setup a generic regular expression to cach any repeating upper case alphabetic character and any lower case repeating character? I have found a brute force way to check but it is cumbersome..here is what it looks like

aa|AA|bb|BB|cc|CC|dd|.....

I figured it out thanks to searching some other postings....to match use this expression

([A-Z]|[a-z]|[\d]|[\W])\1

The group ( ) will group the target character, A or a or 1 or $
while the \1 tells it to look for the match found previous and if it is the same, bingo a match is born.

I've taken Charles Oppermann's wonderful address book command line VBScript (which works perfectly) and tried to adapt it to run inside a basic web application. I keep encountering ASP 0106 : 80020005 errors when I run the following. Hai,

How can I paginate the tables which is in the HTML page. For example if a table starts almost at the end of the page it should start in the next page when I print or preview.

I tried with page-break-inside: avoid; which doesn't work.

Hi,

I want to run an excel spreadsheet that contains macros off a web browser. I create a hyperlink to the excel spreadsheet. When the user clicks the link, the excel spreadsheet loads in the browser. When i click a button in the excel spreadsheet, it says object libary not found.

What can i do, to fix this, so that it looks for external referenced DLL's, xla's, etc, from the web server?

Opening a new Window from a Word Document in an IFrame

I am having an issue with an IFrame at the moment. The IFrame contains a word document with a link inside of it and I need it to open up a new window when someone clicks on the link. I went to several different sources to figure out an anwser. I am using the Hyperlinks.Add property and it contains 6 paramaters. The last parameter is suppose to contain the target window or from the link is supposed to link to. From all the sources I have read I should be able to put a "_blank" in that parameter and should open a new window just fine. However this does not work. Any suggestions?

Just to clarify a bit..is the link inside the word document or just in the IFrame (but outside the word doc)?

I m using a dll file in asp pages which generates an html file after processing.It's working successfully on local server.but when i Uploaded asp pages to actual server and register my dll file there at.now my dll file is not generating html file.it's on actual server.Could any body tell my why it is happening? and how to solvr it?
