i'm onie trying to display a single value..act i'm not sure on how to set the value of RS....i'm soooo new to this

I believe you can do without the response.write( ) in that line ... so just use <% RS("Name") %>

I believe that you are thinking of the short form of Response.Write:
<%=RS("Name")%>
which is exactly the same as:
<%Response.Write(RS("Name"))%>

i want to know how textarea can be converted into htmlarea
Sam Moon

What do you mean by "htmlarea"?
If you mean an element with the contenteditable property set, then no. You have to create a new element with the contenteditable property, and copy the contents from the textarea into it.

Search for textareapro(This is seperate page only for text insertion format)
store the value of textareapro in database
retrieve values and include recorset value anywhere in any page where you want to put

I have designed a website layout entirely in div's.
The layout appears perfect in IE.6 but is everything is out of wack in other browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, Opera).
The page can be viewed here:

I am hoping someone can help me out!! I just cant figure out what i'm doing wrong!!???

Your positioning depends on IE-specific positioning bugs, but doesn't trigger quirks-mode in other browsers because of the DOCTYPE declaration. It mostly works if you change that to one that triggers quirks mode.
Not to be harsh, but i didn't look at it too hard because the CSS is a mess - i assume this is software-generated?

Thanks man, I didn't think it would be so simple!!
I'm relatively new to web design and greatly appreciate your help.
I'll be doing a bit of reading on DOCTYPES now!

Remove the xml declaration tag at the beginning. IE can't handle that, so it ignores the doctype.

Take a look at this code ...
<div style="width:100%">
<div style="width:200px;float:left;">File Types</div>
<div style="width:100%;float:right;">File Types</div>
</div>
Basically I want the 1st inner div to ALWAYS stay 200px wide, and the 2nd inner div to fill in the rest ... any help?

Just don't float the second inner div.

thank you very much ... i have only one slight problem ... there is about 2 or 3 px of space between the inner divs and i was wondering if you knew how to fix that ... i tried taking away every space that wasn't needed and every line break, but that didn't help ...

Then you have to show more of your code. I don't get any space between them when I try it. What doctype do you use?

Here's the link
The other thing I was hoping you could help with is why does height:100% not work correctly either? Take a look through the stylesheet that's attached and see if you can tell me why the divs go over the height of the page ... I really don't want the scrollbar to activate ...

Yes, it does. You have made the height of mainArea 100% of the height of the mainPage. As you have elements above the mainArea, it will extend below the mainPage.
Put a doctype on the page, or you will have great problems to make it work in different browsers.
---
b { font-weight: normal; }
|
|
|
|
|
ok ...
so how do I make the height of mainArea what's left of the height of mainPage instead of being 100% of the height of the actual page?
and did you notice the space between sideHeader and mainHeader? how do I get rid of that space?

Dear all ,
I am facing problem during my insertion of data .After inserting data into the 'Form' of HTML page ,the page keeps the previous data after successfull insertion. It is not getting refreshed .
How i will refresh page after each successfull insertion of data so that all the fields become vacant as intial page after submitting.
|
|
|
|
|
Where to do you post the form, then? If you post it back to the same page, the page is refreshed.
