I purchased a template site through www.9dx.com and need some assistance setting up tables in my pages. This site has a content management system for general web design but I do not understand how to add a table. I have for instance a profit and loss statement that I need to post for investors. It comes from excel and is a pretty large chart. Could someone direct me to a resource to understand how to add a spreadsheet directly into a web page?

Hi.
I have a DIV tag .
I want to fix maximum height of it with height of the browser (FF or IE)
how can I do it ?

Hi,
As far as im aware you can just add the following to your css code. Not 100% sure as its been a while since i did web development, but i dont think this can be set in IE.
div {
max-height: 1000px;
overflow: auto;
}
Many thanks,
TF

Thank you DJ.
I tested it. But it wasn't thing that I wanted.

Sorry, misread your question, thought you meant set a maximum height on the div rather than div to maximum height of window.
html
{
height: 100%;
}
body
{
min-height: 100%;
height: 100%;
}
div
{
height: 100%;
min-height: 100%;
}
(div would be given name of your div)
This might work, again not 100% sure.

You can do it with Javascript:
function setHeight(id) //id is the ID of the div
{
var d = document.getElementById(id);
d.style.position = "absolute";
d.style.height = document.body.clientHeight;
}

Thank you. I tested your function, but it just return zero (0)
function setHeight()
{
var d = document.getElementById('main');
d.style.position = "absolute";
d.style.height = document.body.clientHeight;
alert(document.body.clientHeight);
}

It should work.. I tested it in Opera and IE. Where are you calling the function from? Because in IE it's a bit awkward, I think you have to call it on the onLoad() handler or after it or something..

I tested in FF3 and IE6.
I call it on the onLoad handler.

You can also use document.body.offsetHeight, however this will only return the browser client height if there is no vertical scrolling on the page, and if you dont want the DIV to be larger than the client height of the browser just assign this to a variable on the onLoad handler and use it afterwards?
Also, try out IE 7 - document.body.clientHeight worked fine for me there.
Hope this helps,

None that will work cross-browser right now. Of course, you could use Flash, but then you have to use Flash...

Hi Guys,
Is there a simplier way of creating a task scheduler in asp.net? I would like to run one of my aspx in a scheduled task manner, every 12 midnight daily.
Thanks

Hello, hopefully this is an easy one...
I would like to link to content on my web page from the link listed below.
http://www.driangle.com/catalogue/mouldings_content-200.htm
My goal is to to show this web page to a user, but after some preprocessing. For example I would like to show them this content without the background of the original page and also I would like to not show the order buttons.
The reason for this is that the company I'm working for is a reseller of these products. I want to put the reseller themes to this content.
Is it possible to do this with some web code?
I realize that I could take the brute force route of just copying the web page code and saving snippets to my website, but I thought that there should be some dynamic method available. I'm guessing I'm not the first person on the planet wanting to do this.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
MADCHAD

Unless the site presents some interface through which you can obtain the data independantly of the HTML then no, there is no way to get at it other the scraping the page.

You need Screenscraping. Alternatively check if the provider website has an API.

Hi,
I have a page that uses screen scrape a page (doesnt have an api) but need to do some customisation with this data. So i need to be able to pick out the data between '' & '' tags.
Im assuming the way to do this is via regualr expression (regex)? However im no Regex expert and am in need of some serious help.
If anyone could give me the expression i need, i will be able to work out the code required to apply it. Or even a good pointer would be of benefit.
Many Many Thanks.

Something like this?:
function getData()
{
var els = document.getElementsByTagName("option");
for(i=0;i<els.length;++i)>
}
}
Hope this helps,
