VLC is so ubiquitous that I barely think of it as a third party tool anymore. Awesome tool.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

One of the great things about VLC, that is not widely known, is that it turns your dvd drive into a regionless dvd drive - this means you can watch dvds from any region on your computer.
So I can order dvds from the US and watch them in the UK(which was great when Twin Peaks was not available in Europe)
