Is not optimal, try:
t2 = x+y;
t1 = t2;
t1++;
No temporay variable allocation and store, only two store operations instead of 3. Use of the increment operator eliminates need for storage of the constant (1)

Maybe this will interest you for a while?
How do I place a GSM call on my PocketPC (Mobile Phone Edition) using C# and .net CF.
The device (MDA II / XDA II) offers a 'wireless modem' feature to any external device - just connect per Bluetooth/USB/serial/IrDA and issue AT commands just like any other normal modem. But I am not an external device - I am (in this context!) an application running on the MDA II / XDA II.
How do I get to place a GSM call (for V110 data) - I just want to dial my phone number and be told when I am connected, with the option to abort if this takes too long. C++ is a number too big for me and TAPI is way too complex for what I want - has somebody got a neat, lightweight C# solution... or at least a push in the right direction!

Hi, I'm writing an application in evc++4.0 (c++) for a ppc2003 and wince based device.
When I try to make an icon object transparent I succeed but when i try to paint transparency on a bitmap I don't manage in doin' it because in the color toolbar the button with the screen (meaning transparent color) doesn't appear.
Is it possible to paint transparent a bitmap object?

Hi there,
sorry first of all 'cause i think it's an already soluted problem in the board but i can't find the answer.
Due to SDK and Hardware issues i'm forced to use evc++ 3.0 (with MFC)
First Problem:
Suddenly the Class Wizard doesn't want to add member variables for added Objects (e.g. a button). I read somewhere that this is a common bug about evc3, and that u should delete the vcc or vcb file. Is there anyone who could give some further explanation about that?
Second Problem:
I added a combobox and populatet the list items via the properties dialog, but when i compile the project no dropdown-items ar listed. it seems that this failure depends on the dialog the cb is created in. when i do the same steps in an already existing dialog in the same project it works fine.
any solutions?
Thanks in advance

I derived a class from CCeSocket.
The object of that type that I use in my app is dynamically created.
I can connect and communicate correctly with the server-application using that object, the problem is that when the object gets destroyed that in DEBUG mode the application sometimes crashes. (In Release all seems to run correct)
The assertion error refers to wcesock.cpp line 733. Looking there it seems as if a thread created by the CCeSocket is still trying to access the socket. (My app is single threaded by the way). The crash does not happen every time though.
Should I wait for a certain event after I close the socket before I delete the socket-object? Or is this a known problem when running in DEBUG mode... Could something else be at fault?
I just want to avoid a crash ever happening in Release, so I don^t want to just ignore this warning without knowing for sure that it can't harm ignoring it...
Thanks for any help you might provide,
With Friendly Regards,
Davy

Hi,
When I read document about Windows CE registration in Microsoft Windows Website(http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wcemain4/html/cmlrfDefaultRegistrySettings.asp), it says "Like ISAPI dynamic-link libraries (DLLs), the Web server keeps Asp.dll and any libraries that ASP loads — including JScript.dll, VBScript.dll, and any DLLs that contain COM objects that were created on the page — in a cache. The Web server unloads the DLLs in this cache automatically if they have not been used for 30 minutes. This delay is defined by a setting in the system registry." But I can't find out which registry sub key is responsible for this delay, so does anyone has any idea about it? Thanks very much in advance!

hi all,
Synchronization provides a means to compare two Object Stores, analyze their differences and then modify each Object Store so that the two are identical.
i wanted to sync my nokia phone data to my pocket pc windows ce device over bluetooth.
for that i am planing to write a application for my pocket pc.
what are all the various data sync standards available in the market ?
To support all the mobile phones(such as nokia, motorola, samsung and etc.,, how difficult it is to implement ?
any body is having idea about sync standards ?

Hi, I'm developing an application for a pocketpc2003 based device. Now I have to port this application to a Windows CE based device.
In my application I used FindFirstFlashCard() to detect a storage on the device, but this function is part of PPC SDK. What can I use to detect if there's a flashcard (a storage card) on the winCE device?

I believe you will have to ask the device manufacturer for that information.

Hi,
I have to host WebService in WinCE .NET.
I have written ATL COM Component in embedded VC++ ,and generated WSDl/WSML files using tool wsdlstb_ce.exe .
I am using ComplexTypes in my WebMethods,for that i have written COM Component implementing ISoapTypeMapper.
Modified WSML file accordingly e.g.
<servicemapping name="Service">
<service name="Service">
<using progid="Service.MyService.1" cachable="1" id="ServiceObject">
<using progid="Service.ComplexTypeMapper.1"
="" cachable="1" id="ComplexTypeMapperObject">
<using progid="Service.StatusMapper.1"
="" cachable="1" id="StatusMapperObject">
<types>
<type name="Complex1" targetnamespace="http://temp.org/webservices/"
="" uses="StatusMapperObject" iid="{xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxx}">
<type name="Complex2"
="" targetnamespace="http://temp.org/webservices/" uses="ComplexTypeMapperObject" iid="{xxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxx}">
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
Now when i call WebMethod from client on PC (sending Complex Types as a parameters)It goes in Constructors of all the COM Components (e.g. Service,ComplexTypeMapper,StatusMapper) after that it throws the Exception of type
"System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapExceptions"
"Additional Information:Error Source :Server"
How can i see, where this exception is occuring on WinCE hardware??
what is this exception?????
Thanks

I have proprietary hardware that contains a host controller that can
enumerate PPC 2003 devices. When a PPC 2003 device is attached to our
hardware, our hardware enumerates the device then waits for the device to
send data to it, specifically waits for a hex 5. Once it receives the hex 5
it returns a hex 6. We have built in debug monitoring on our hardware that
allows us to see all incoming and outgoing data. Using the serial over USB
driver interface that’s a part of the COM driver we can successfully send a 5
down as well as any other data we want. The issue comes in when we send data
from the host, i.e. a 6, back to the device running PPC 2003. No matter how
long we read for on the device nothing ever comes back but the host is
definitely returning data. I also tried setting up a WaitCommEvent on the handle and have it signal when a EV_RXCHAR event came in. This event is never getting flagged.
Again we are using the Serial over USB driver included with PPC 2003 to
communicate with the host controller. The drivers interface type is
4294967295 and its key is Drivers\BuiltIn\SerialUSB. I did check and although
the specific index the SerialUSB driver resides on changes i.e. COMx:, the
interface remains the same. Does anyone know if there is something special
you have to do to read data being sent over USB on the device? Is data read
on a different Com? Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi,
First - check the pins of both sides of the RS232 connector(are you sure the TX of one side goes to Rx of the other?).
Also - you should check if your H/W uses Flow Control etc.
if so - check if all the pins are connected.
Good Luck,
Eli
