am not sure what am missing something.

i have a page where i hide Panels and show them. So i have this javascript function

 function HideFilter()
{
document.getElementById("<%= Panel1.ClientID %>").style.display = "none";

document.getElementById("<%= Panel2.ClientID %>").style.display = "none";

document.getElementById("<%= ImageButton3.ClientID %>").style.display = "none";

document.getElementById("<%= ImageButton2.ClientID %>").style.display = "";                    

return false
}

 function ShowFilter()
{

document.getElementById("<%= Panel1.ClientID %>").style.display = "";

document.getElementById("<%= Panel2.ClientID %>").style.display = "";

document.getElementById("<%= ImageButton2.ClientID %>").style.display = "none";           

return false
}

they hide Hide and show Buttons. The Problem here is that ImageButton2 does not appear. The problem is in the function HideFilter() it does not want to show the ImageButton2 and it gives me a JavaScript error.

Check if "ImageButton2.ClientID" generates the client id. May be ImageButton2 is not a server control, so the client ID generation is failing and giving you javascript error.

Check the generated Javascript to get a clear idea.

In your code behind, you might have written
ImageButton2.Visible = false;
If so, ImageButton2 will not render to HTML and hence will throw javascript error.

For first time load also, hide your ImageButton2 using javascript.

Hope this will solve your problem.

Just add a .css file in your theme folder and
add whichever style you wish to add.

It would be better if you would clearly speak which controls/tags'
alignment you want to make right.

Here is your answer.

1. Create a css file in your Theme folder
2. Declare a class in css file say ".customAlign", like

.customAlign { text-align:right; }

3. In aspx page use CssClass="customAlign" in your control

it is giving me error.

Dont put the scriplet in document.getElementById.Use global variable to get the clientid of hidden variable as

var hiddenClientID = "<%=h1.ClientID%>";.

Put the above script in masterpage itself.
Now access the hidden field using hiddenClientID in usercontrol as

document.getElementById(hiddenClientID).value

Let me know if still face problem

hi,

i need to show multiple selected items in Dropdown List
i wrote like this

ASP.NET Dropdown List does not allow to select multiple items in one go.Only last selected item would be shown as selected.
Instead you should use ListBox which allows multiple selection.
OR you can try this one too.

I got following error as soon as tried to delete a user...

The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint
"FK__aspnet_Me__UserI__1B0907CE".
 The conflict occurred in database "Sitname",
 table "dbo.aspnet_Membership", column 'UserId'.
The statement has been terminated.

You can not delete a user just from deleting the row from aspnet_users table,Because there is a tight assoiation with other tables.First you need to understand the apnet membership schema,then you will be able to know how to a user from database directly.
Or you can use the inbuild function of aspnet membership api to delete a user from application.
But if you want to delete from database directly, it will better if you ask in database forum.
