I am trying to show pie chart (asp.net VS2005) with dataset from oracle, below is the code given.
'ds' is the dataset here.
values from this dataset are in one row with multiple collumns.
so changing collumns to row with the help of datatable.
It gives error -->
"The chart ‘rds’ is in the report body but the report has no data set. Data regions are not allowed in reports without datasets"

If you are using Master page please add the script manager control in the master page and then try.

I have a grid view which is used to delete the data in it. I want the data to be stored in another table before it is deleted from the actual table. The database is in Oracle. I am using the following code.

The insert command execute perfectly if I remove the GridView1.SelectedValue. But it does not give the desired result as I want the value displayed in the data grid to be inserted only, before it is deleted. What happens in the above code is that data is deleted from the actual table, but nothing is inserted in the backup table described in the code above. I understand I need to write something else instead of GridView1.SelectedValue, but I can't think of anything else. Please help me with this.

I think there may be some mistake in your query. Please refer Trigger concept to implement your desired results.

If there's mistake in query then how come it runs when i remove the GridView1.SelectedValue from it. I just need to get the value of the first column in the grid view. For that I need help. Thanks.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
It's coming in the line where I am using "val.text" in the insert statement.

i m working with C#.net and at the back end access database
i have four tables in my database
category
Images
employee
&
empinfo
the first three tables above have the primary keys made foriegn keys in the table of empinfo
now i need a code in C#.net
how to store all the information in the tables of "category", "Images" and "employee" and finally in the table of "empinfo"
new to C#.net programming

I would like to say one thing, make sure to put all insert statement in signle transaction.
It is mean firt do the Bigin Transaction
Update/Insert first table
......
Commit transaction
If anywhere exception occured then do the Rollback transaction.
Note: Insert or Update query you can find on google.
