Please post your question little bit clear...

and as per my understand you want to fetch only one record from your table,
for that,
you have to write a query to fetch the particular one record according to your requirement...and bind it to your gridview...

The login control on my website is not working and i know it is as a result of the wrong connectionstring. i converted my ASPNETDB.mdf file to ASPNETDB.sql but i dont know wat to do next. can some one help me out please.

How is my experience gonna help you?

In between, you first need to understand difference between C#/VB.Net and ASP.Net. ASP.Net is not a language but a framework and in no way Active Directory is part of it.

He Wants to search a sam account name attribute in all of his
domains trusted domains. I.E. when he search a name he want to search to be
performed on all of his trusted domains (even outside of the forest).

This is ASP.NET Forum. And Searching in AD using LDAP is nothing to do with asp.net.

I installed DNN website using VS.net 2008 and after the website finished I try to put it on the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot folder or on the web hosting server, but it does not work

If you folder is in wwwroot, then you need to just open IIS ( Run > inetmgr )
You will see there should be an folder with the name of your application.
Right click on that > On the Default tabt > Click on Create Button.

Set the other properties like authentication, ASP.NET Version etc.

Then try to run.
