Hi,
I am trying to open a word document from xml template and allow user to edit the content. Then i am tried to extract the xml file and save the xml in database through ajax pro.
Now, the problem is that it takes more time to save into database. Is any solution to reduce the time and size of the xml file content.

Hi to all,
After publishing the site , the link buttons are not working. O mouse over it is showing this url:

Hi,
I am using dropdownlist that contains autopostback=true and i am dynamically binding data to the dropdownlist from database.when i am selecting item other than select item(means first item ) validation works fine.when i am reselecting the first item "select" then required field validator is not firing and my app is throwing "Input string was not in a correct format" exception how to get rid of this?can anybody help me?i am using asp.net ajax in my form

Hai,
Am using md5 with salt.Am able to encrypt password,but how to decrypt the password while 'change password' case.
Login page is working good but changepassword is not.
give me idea to how to use md5 or something else for decryption.
The way am using md5 with salt in login page
txt6.Text = FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile(password.ToString().Trim(), "md5")
txt7.Text = FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile((salt) + txt6.Text.Trim.ToLower()), "md5")
if txt_password.text=txt6.text then
//mycode
else
//error
end if
txt_password.text become encrypted at clien side.
Please if ur free let me know the solution

MD5 is called a one-way hash, one-way is not two-way....
During the password change, why don't you encrypt the typed password and compare it with the stored one.
This is the way, i have implemented.....

I know that md5 is one way hash.
Actually am storing passwords in plain text only in the database,because at one glance one cant say the actual password from the database(again he has to decrypt the whole thing using symmetric key logic which i dont want to use).and am using md5 with salt which doesnt show the plain text to the end user.
But in the changed password,the new password am encrypting with md5 but problem occuring while updating the data.
which is the best way to do while password change?please send me some code snippet,so that i may get some idea.
The above code i have send is working perfectly while login.which i have to use.

You cannot decrypt when using MD5 because it is one way encryption.
Instead use some encryption/Decryption technique.

iam using a formview control in my project..
and iam trying to update fields of 2 tables using formview..
table1:Personal_details:
columns:P_id --->primary key
Emp_id-->foreign key
First_name
table2:Educational_qualification
columns:Eq_id ->primary key
Emp_id ->foreign key
Institute..
these 2 tables are connected by column Emp_id
My update command of formview control is:

In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.
