Hi,
try this

 string[] lines = Regex.Split(TextBox1.Text, "\r\n");
     string sql ="Insert into "+"Table Name("+ lines[0].Replace(' ',',')+ ") values(";
     for (int i=1;i<lines.Length;i++)
     {
         sql = sql + lines[i].Replace(' ', ',') + ")";

try this example,

string s = TextBox1.Text;
string[] s1 = s.Split(new char[] { ' ' });
for (int i = 0; i < s1.GetUpperBound(0); i++)

Formview update problem [modified]

iam using a formview control in my project..
and iam trying to update fields of 2 tables using formview..
table1:Personal_details:
columns:P_id --->primary key
Emp_id-->foreign key
First_name

table2:Educational_qualification
columns:Eq_id ->primary key
Emp_id ->foreign key
Institute..
these 2 tables are connected by column Emp_id
My update command of formview control is:

UpdateCommand="Update [Personal_details] Set [First_name]=@First_name WHERE [P_id]=@original_P_id and[Emp_id]=@original_Emp_id and [First_name]=@original_First_name;
Update [Educational_qualification] Set[Institute]=@Institute WHERE [Eq_id]=@original_Eq_id and [Emp_id]=@original_Emp_id and [Institute]=@original_Institute"

when i try 2 edit values,old values are not gettin updated..i.e after clicking on the update link still the old values are gettin displayed..

plz suggest some solution..

bind data to formview again

In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

i did bind data to formview again,but still no change i.e the prob still persists
ne changes need to be made in the update command??

Hi,

I have got a weird problem opening a simple .aspx page using a Javascript on the click of ASP.net server control. It works perfectly fine in my local system.

Scenario: The application is deployed to production server. Clients get remote access to the application thr' Netilla platform which runs in https mode.

Code snippet:

Okay..now the funny thing is that the same code works if it is copied to another new pages with nothing but just the above code and a button.

Weird.

Hi all,

i want to open an existing word document in a folder in the project,path of that file is stored in oracle table.
When i click a link button a query should be executed to take the corresponding path,then with that path the file should be opened.

i tried like this..

Hi All,

Can anyone plse tell me tat,wat is the diffrence between calling javascript function throuh onclient click of button(client side) and
adding attribute to tat button(server side)?

ex:

<asp:button accesskey="C" id="btnClear" onclientclick="return Validate()" runat="server" text="Clear" <="" asp:button="">

btnClear.Attribute.Add("OnClick",return Validate()" )

Doesn't the name suggest the meaning.
OnClick is used to trigger some server method(C#, VB.Net) where as OnClientClick will fire the Client methods(Javascript)

For dynamic controls, using Control.Attribute.Add() you can add client side script.

Both are same. In case of OnClientClick the asp:Button will render the a submit button, and OnClick will evaluate your javascript. Same as Attributes.add

Hi,
I have made a small application in ASP.Net in which whenever the user registers a mail is send to his/her account.

It is working sucessfully on my Local machine.
But when i deploy it on the server it is giving some error.
Following is the snippet from web.config

<system.net>
       <mailSettings>
           <smtp from="admin@formbag.com">
               <network host="someipaddress" port="25" userName="username" password="password" defaultCredentials="true" />
           </smtp>
       </mailSettings>

   </system.net>

Is there some settings I am missing on server or something else.

No errors.. I have checked the event viewer as well as my application lob, but no errors. Its just the mails are not going.
