yes i have already written this code.
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if(!this.IsPostBack)) {
if (Session["test"] == null)
{ }
else
{

Text1.Value = Convert.ToString(Session["test"]);
TextBox1.Text = Convert.ToString(Session["test"]);
}
}
}
but not working..The value is assigned to the textbox but not displayed until postback occurs.

Do one thing take the Session value in variable first and then test with break points. I think your if condition is not working correctly.

Thanks..I debug the code the value is getting assigned to the textbox correctly..but not displaying..may be viewstate is not refreshed. Is there any solution for this?

Amit viewstate or any such thing has no relevance with this.
Just put another textbox and try with that as now i cant find anything wrong in it.

Did you try to google for this?

What you can do is to use HttpServerUtility.UrlEncode or if you want to encrypt the query string have a look here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/zttxte6w.aspx[^]

I tried EncodeUrl() function earlier, but when i Decode that i cud'nt get the querystring , Plz tell me how to decode the querystring.

There is a method called HttpServerUtility.UrlDecode. Maybe you give it a try...

Hi, query string is a variable that you can pass to another webform

like this

in your webform1

button event: response.redirect("webform2.aspx?VAR=" & textbox1.text)

if you want to get the your variable

Webform2 load event: textbox1.text = request.querystring("VAR")

Hi,
There is a browser issue between IE / Firefox

Actaully i have one javascript method like this,

if (text == "")
{
alert("Enter Text Value");
text.focus();
return false;
}

but focus is not working in Mozilla but in IE is perfect. If any one knows plz answer me..

Hi, try to configure the setting of your browser(moz) go to option within your browser and look for security or something enabled the javascript.

Mybe your javascript are uncheck.

check it then click OK.

Try to use

document.getElementById('ControlName').focus();

in place of document.all('ControlName').focus();

document.all('ControlName') works well in IE but not in Firefox.

can any one guide me how can i display a website inside a webpart??
i have a button and textbox on page user want to enter url in it and that site should display inside webpart..

i have used iframe inside webpart but first time website is displayed correctly but when i refresh page it is vanished... does any one have idea how to solve this problem?

Hi,
I need to implement a functionalty in vb.net 1.1 web apllication for a datagrid in which i am having a text box, a grid having 1000 rows records and a button,
when i give a value in the text box and press the button it should find the same value in the specific column of the grid and will move the scroll bar to that particular row. so that user can view the same row and it should be selected.
Need ur help on the same..........

fill a DataView as dataset to the gridview.
DataView has Sort and FILTER options.

In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

but this will remove all the other rows and i want all the rows to be displayed and the selected row in the current view.

Dear all,

I am using VS2005, asp.net with c# and sql server2005. I am storing my picture path in database. Can anyone suggest me how can i display the picture according to the picture path in database into a gridview?

In my case,the grid view will show name and description then the last field will be the image.

Any opinion or suggestion are welcom.

Hi, you can Add in your grid a image field.

<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server">
<Columns>
<asp:ImageField>
</asp:ImageField>
</Columns>
</asp:GridView>

then this imagefield have properties to call the image from your database.

like: DataImageUrlField = dr("image").tostring();

Add the tag in the Gridview like this.

<asp:GridView>
<Columns>
<asp:imagefield dataimageurlfield='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "imagepath") %>'/>                            
</columns>
</asp:GridView>

Where imagepath is the Column of the Dataset having image path.

This will automatically display the image when you will bind the dataset to gridview.

Like this:
