I am using the following code
if (System.IO.Directory.Exists(Server .MapPath ("Albums/username" ))
{
System.IO.Directory.Delete(Server .MapPath ("Albums/username"),true);
}
to delete the folder named "username" and all of its subfolders. After this , if I take the folder Albums, I can see "username" folder. But when I double click on the folder, " Access is denied" message is coming. If I close visual Studio the folder itself is disappearing. In production server how will it work?

I got the answer. If anyone needs the answer here it is!!
My project is stored in a drive which uses NTFS File System and the folder to be deleted is inside my project folder. Since now I have opened this project in Visual Studio, that folder is also being used by Visual Studio.In NTFS, You may not be able to delete a file if the file is being used. You may be able to use the Delete command to delete a file, but the file is not actually deleted until the process that has the file open releases the file.

Hi!
Please consider the following scenario...
I have a number, say 10234 and I want to convert this number into words, i.e. Ten Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty Four.
Is it possible in VB.net and if so then please suggest a logic.
And in the worst case please suggest some keywords to search in google, the keywords I am using are not returning expected results.

hi Mike,
YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG.
The actual requirement was for a asp.net application I am developing for my company. It will automate many things and also the payroll. I wanted to print the salary in words along with numbers and that's why after wondering couple of hours I posted this question on this forum.
Now, I think the things are pretty clear to you and one more thing I want to suggest you that before making decision about anybody please try to find the actual cause.

I thought you are giving the reference of some other web site project for which this type of query has already been asked, that's why I wrote those lines.
By the way, thanks for entertaining me with your funny replies and also for talking nothing about the problem I asked and distracting my mind for some time from the work load. It really helped alot.

Id like to create a regex expression to add it to the createuserwizard
The problem is that im not very familiar with regex, ive been searching, but i cant find an example to do this
What id like is the user create a nick with the following restrictions:
Between 6 and 20 characters
Only letters and numbers and any of this signs (._-)
And only one space
Ive tried this regex:
^[\wÑñ._-]{6,20}$
How can i restrict the string to have no more than one space (No spaces would be ok)

This will do exactly what you want with no spaces ^\s{0}[\wÑñ._-]{6,20}$

This RegEx does exactly what the regex that already have does
Besides .-_ and letters and numbers, I need to allow only one space (Optional)

\s{0} is completely superfluous. White space is already disallowed because it hasn't been included in the list of character classes contained between the square brackets.

The only way I can think to do this is to use a CustomValidator[^] control.
In your custom validation function, first use a regular expression to check that the string is between 6 & 20 characters and contains only letters, numbers, spaces or the (._-) symbols (BTW, the literal '.' character needs to be escaped in a regular expression as \. because '.' is a reserved regular expression character). If your input passes this validation, write some code to count the number of spaces it contains.

This does the job:
^(?!.* .* )[\w ñÑ.-]{6,20}$
Weird that . doesnt make the regex fail
But ill scape it on my page

Hi,
My app is works correct when I access app with http://localhost/app. The session is sotored.
When I access app with http://machineName/app, the session doesn't sotored.
I believe that It is a configuratio, but where is?? IIS, Proxy, Web.config?

Is this application running on a multi-core PC? Change your session from InProc to State Server or Sql Server.
