Hi Friends
I am getting this error when i try to read excel file using the
oledb object.And if i change the setting impersonate=false in web.config file , the chart software will stop working.
I also went through the below microsoft article

but still the problem persists.
Well as per the aritcle I tried with my_computer_name, IIS, IUSR in the security tab but of no use.
Any help guys......

Can any body suggest the steps to use the services of authorize.net to test the credit card transactions.
Iam facing following problems.
1) in aim pdf guide it says u should have ssl certificate where do i get this for my testing as i want to test like sandbox testing provided by paypal.
2) where do i get credit card numbers to test which are not the real one ,just like which is provided by paypal in sandbox enviroment.
3)where do i get transaction key and login id, plz help me if anybody can..

Why do you want to use authorize.net? I think paypal is more than perfect, right?

hi guyz .............
me have a login form then for user login a main form with different forms links and for admin login some other forms links on main form ............both admin have all links in main form but user type will have half from them ......................
i think different user control will work for both and all forms .......................like at runtime if user type is there i will attach user control of user type and if admin type is there i will attach admin user control ................
plz suggest some thing .......................and how can i achieve this .................

Do you have the Logged-On UserType stored in a session variable? If yes, then it's quite easy. Check for the session value and based on the user type, set the visibility of the user controls to True/False. If not, then at the time of Login (Authenticating the User), store the UserType in a session variable and set the visibility of the User-Control accordingly.

ya i am saving in session variables .....................
please it would be easier for me if u provide me a code to make the visibility of user control true/false and how to do that in code behind i am using c# and putting user control in overlapping fashion is not possible so how to have 2 user control on same area of same form........................................that will be changed according to user type .........and an each form i have to include both user control...........is it right way ...............thanks a lot jon

One small suggestion for you : While posting messages try to give relavant Subject

1)it is working fine if i give the date in dd/mm/yyyy
but if i give the date in mm/dd/yyyy it is giving exception but i want in else statement that the given date is not in correct format
2)if iam giving 31/02/2007 it is also giving exception how this could be solved

when you set the DatePattern as "dd/MM/yyyy" then it will work for that format and for the other format offcourse it will throw error. can we write a shared function like this....

Hello everybody,
I installed IIS in my system. Then i created one web appln using vs2003. i tested in my system. It works. Then I tried to open in another system. It says
Server not found.
I think my IIS configuration is not correct. Then I checked that too. Its correct. I dont know why it occurs. Can somebody help me. Thanks in advance.

in 2003 problems come so convert your application into 2005 application and try it!
Otherwise (with 2003)version do following:
1) Open IIS
2) Under web sites select your website right click select properties
3) Select Home Directory tab and
4) click on create button

hi guys, i have a catagory named "Computers", what i want to do is when the user hovers the mouse over "Computers" i want it to reveal a list of other catagories, could someone please tell me how to do this? would this be a dropdownlist control and an onmouseover code on the dropdownlist. i am using vs2005 with c# thanks.

This is the code, below which i used, to select all the columns from Excel sheet. This works fine.
OleDbCommand cmd = new OleDbCommand("select * from [chapters$]",conn);
Can anybody tell me how can i select a particular column. For eg: if the column name is like 'chapter_no'

Try,
OleDbCommand cmd = new OleDbCommand("select [chapter_no] from [chapters$]",conn);
You can aslo use name which has whitepaces like
OleDbCommand cmd = new OleDbCommand("select [chapter no] from [chapters$]",conn);
