My project(site) has a page named 'Login.aspx'. That's the loginUrl for forms authentication. It works fine as a project but once deployed request to that page will result in an error. What could be the problem I am getting access to the other pages only this one has the problem. I tried renaming it but still the error persists. I ve only renamed the page's name not its class.

Its not saying anything specifically about the error. I got the error fixed when I changed the class name to 'UserLogin' from Login. But love to know what has gone wrong.

Hi professionals,
I am a begginer in web programming and this question just popped in my head.
If I am to design a website that serves thousands of users conccurrently, let's say a forum, let us assume that we have infinite server bandwidth and storage capacity, are there any considerations I should take into account when designing my website, for example what is the effect of the following points on concurrency and performance of the database:
1. Choosing between different database engines (JET, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server...)
2. Optimizing the SQL Query.
3. Are there any techniques that I should follow in my C# code-behined to improve oncurrency? what are they (if any)?
4. Any other things to consider?

2 - Understanding which operations are costly and, using right controls and data access classes.
3 - Proper caching of your data.
4 - Disabling viewstates on the pages which doesn't require postback
5 - Indexing the tables
6 - Designing the pages with DIV and CSS instead of using tables.

Since u r a biggener, don't fly so high just make an simple start and think about such terms when u get some experience. i doesn't demotivate u but it is just an suggetion for u .

I have table and width is 100%. It contains three td‘s. first td width is 250px, second td width is 10px, 3rd td width is 100%.I want to display the results from database to 3rd td.
The results are displaying fine for small database tables (contain less than 10 columns).
If the columns are more than 10 td width is going out of window size. For that I placed scroll bars for td .which is not working.
Is any one having idea about it?

What is this function ? I have never heard this. To display HTML content on mail body, you should set mail's body type to HTML.

In html we can use this function for example copy this and save it in a html file

I would suggest you to use the Mail class in ASP.NET and then try to add the table through it.

I need to upgrade an app to allow users to export data to Excel (currently it allows for .csv). Does anybody know of a component that can be used for this ( I'd rather not automate Excel if I don't have to ) ?
