And <marquee width="75%"> ----the 75% must be enclosed.

ASP.NET can't scroll a text. This can be done either using a JS or HTML tag marquee. But some browsers won't support marquee. so I recommend JS

Actually it does.

It works xcept for the few error you get saying "marquee function is not supported. But it runs

I didn't said that it won't work at all time. I said some browsers won't support it. BTW, have you tried in all browsers ?

After publishing my website, when I am trying to run my published application from IIS I am getting the following error..

"unrecognized configuration section 'connection strings'"
in web.config file.

how to resolve this problem ? plzzz I need ur help in this regard.

in IIS -> default website -> properties change Asp.net version to 2.x.x.x...

It will solve yr problem.

crystal report problem

Hai all,
I am using vs2003 with .net framework1.1.
When i am trying to generate a crystal report it is working perfectly,i can navigate the number pages for the data.
The thing is with the reportviewer,If i want to take a printout it is giving the current page data only.If number of pages are 5,how can i move to the pages 1-5?In the print crystal report toolbar also coming which i can remove,but main problem is i couldn't able to navigate to the next page for a printout.
and if i convert to some other format,same problem is arising.
I want to take print out for all the 5 pages at a time as generally we do in msword case,how to do??
Is there anyway to give programmatically that page shd move one by one automatically??
Which property shd i need to set??

Code i have given for the report display is----
sql = "SELECT * FROM gdata"
dbcomm = New OleDbCommand(sql, Conn)
Dim dap As OleDbDataAdapter = New OleDbDataAdapter(dbcomm)
Dim ds As New Dataset1

Do a DataBind in the Navigate event of the CR Viewer to navigate to the Next page.

Genrally In web application, you cannot do such a thing. Because the Data that is sent to the printer is browser based. Whatever data that is displayed will be printed. The one alternate to get all the data printed is remove the paging and display all the records in one stretch and print it.

No, You will not face the same problem if you generate the report in some other format such a pdf, word or excel. You will get all the data displayed in your file and you can get it printed.

How to display the online users into a grid.The users logged in will display in a web application project.how is it possible.Please help it.i want it urgently.The status of the users will display.The offline users willnot display in the grid.we use .mdf database and users are created in aspnet_user database.

Comaprison Validator Not Working

I have to compare two text boxes having numeric value.

the problem is that if one of the box is not having any thing and the other is having a value its not comparing the validator is not showing message

Try with required field validator also

If u want to compare two values
Then It should be exists.

So If u keep Both of Your Text box/inputs Mandatory Then YoU can Compare two values.

In advance U can use Require field validator and additionaly u can use customevalidator for entering only numarics.

And Change Ur Validator's Display Property To Dynamic.

Hi friends,
I am using DataList control which have checkbox control.when i click checkall button All checkbox are selected.this is my code

for (int i = 0; i < Dgr_hotel.Items.Count - 1; i++)
{
((CheckBox)Dgr_hotel.FindControl("chk_Box")).Checked = true;

}
but I am getting Error this Error
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
How can I do ? pl help me

How cum? In the above given code you are not navigating through the items of the DataList Control to find the CheckBox and mark it Checked. Most importantly the i value is not used anywhere in the loop. It will not serve your purpose in any way.

You can try the below code to do the same

foreach (DataListItem Items in DataList1.Items) { 
   ((CheckBox)Items.FindControl("chkBox")).Checked = true; 
}

Hi all,

I am new to the web development. Presently i am working with mark entry system using web(.net) technology, where we need to enter the marks in data table. But while entering the marks, only tab is used to navigate in the cells. But i want to make use of arrow keys to navigate in the table.

ii) When i press enter key the page gets refreshed, instead that should move the cursor to the next cell.

Can any one help me out in finding the solution for the above...
