Yes, but it is in web.config file right ? Each time when it is modified, whole ASP.NET application will be restarted and will end all session and application values.

Hi,
I've developed a C#.NET webservice. Is it possible to schedule it.
Also If Download is one of the operation performed by the web service
can i use the url : http://localhost/FileDownload/Service.asmx/Download?

What do you meant by schedule it ? Running the service in a specified intervals ? If yes you can choose
1- windows service
2- create a desktop application that gives request to webservice in a scheduled time

I would recommend having a little Windows service that can download the URL contents periodically. That would be the most resilent and robust way to approach this problem on hand.

Basically I want to trigger two response.X events from a single on-click event to do two things - pop up a report in a window, and download a file (not the same file as the report).

Sadly no, as the first part of the processing in the on-click event is what generates the details to be displayed in the report... Thanks anyway.
I have decided to let the first part of the processing happen and open the report, save the relevant ID in memory, then have another click event (on a new link) to download the saved file (using the previously saved ID).

I was doing some experiments on your problem, and I succeeded in that other way. I shown PDF in pop up window ? I used Page.RegisterStartupScript(PDffileURL) in pop window page load. Will it work for you ?

Hi,
No, I can't use that option either, as I was saying, the processing needs to happen before the pdf can be generated. I have split it into two parts like this:
Part 1 - do the processing then trigger the generation of the pdf (and save the ID to session state)
Part 2 - grab the ID from session state and generate the file to download.
Problem solved, and only with one extra mouse click!!

The thing is that, i want to use script.aculo.us drag and drop, between 3 lists, well, i already have the drag and drop between the 3 list ("ul") in each list ("ul") i have data in the "li" tag, inside some "li" i have tables, images, etc, but i have information in each "li" tag that is in the html code, i don´t bring the content from the data base, i mean, i can bring content but i have tables, images, and other html things in the li.
I also have that of course, but the thing is that now i want to save new positions, an example ,if i have 3 lists ("ul") "List1, List2, List3" and in each list i have 3 items ("li") "1item1, 1item2, 1item3, and 2item1, 2item2, 2item3, and 3item1, 3item2, 3item3" if i move for example, the item "2item3" with a table inside from the list "List2" to the list "List3" right down of the item "3item1" i want to save that new position, so it will be like.
List1 have (1item1, 1item2, 1item3)
List2 have (2item1, 2item2)
ist3 have (3item1, "2item3", 3item2, 3item3).
and when the user upload the page he will see this new order.

Hello, I got a problem, I have a grid with a dataset with two tables and I have a datagrid bound to that Dataset
each column of the grid has two labels, and I need to "print" in each label a column for each one of the two tables
for example: the first table has a column "EMPLOYEE" and the second has a column
"DATE", the first label is for EMPLOYEE and the second for DATE.
I am using the DataBinder.Eval method
Can anyone tell me how do it?

Hallo All,
I have a problem with wml and asp.net. I wrote wml deck which calls an aspx page. when I try to test it on my emulator , its giving "Page not available" message. I didnt understand why is this. My supervisor told me its because of web.config but I didnt understand what kind of changes I should do to the web.config.
I found that there is Mobile Internet Toolkit using asp.net, is it compulsory to download the Mobile Internet Tool kit to work with wml.
Could anyone please tell me, things to be done while working with wml and asp.net.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
