I'm creating an image editing tool website and I want to know how I can display a bitmap class on a webpage like you can do in windows forms. There is an image control supplied but that only lets me specify a url.
I could just save it to a file and set the image url to that but then if they refresh the page they will see someone else's work.

If you would want to do that, you would have to create a component that you could run in the browser, that would display the image. It would not be very efficient, though, as the data in a bitmap object is not compressed.
The browser itself is only capable of displaying images in the form of an image file. They don't have to be saved on the server as an actual file, though, you can create a page that creates the image file data and sends it as a response to the browser.

Acutually I want to prevent cross-site scripting in asp.net forums.
If I want to protect from user input data when user (lamer) enter script in the textbox in asp.net forms. If I get to textbox string and convert the <, >, & symbol to HTMLEncoding in the string. Is this process enough for prevent cross-site scripting?

Yes.
But you ought to process HTML on the way out as it's getting displayed on screen rather than store it in the database in HTML encoded format. This ensures the database stores the data in a platform neutral format, also because some ASP.NET controls perform their own HTML encoding (such as the ToolTip property, or Text property for TextBox controls), and you'll end up encoding the encoding and the user will see < on the screen instead of <
Use Server.HtmlEncode(outputString), but don't do this for control properties that already do their own encoding for above reason.

I want to show the selected video clip in the asp page.so am using the embed object and iwant to pass the selected videos path to that object.i tried lot but none of them is working.embed object code below

hi,
my requirement is that i have to enable user to type both string and also allow him to choose the image
For this,
i used ifrmae and file so that user can choose the picture which will be visible in ifram and also he can type the text.. all r working fine
problem is
in iframe i can have more than a picture and string so while saving how can i get the path to upload in server..

ContentPlace holder use to hold the pages [ page.aspx] . You can display any page inside the Content place holder.
But you question is not clear to me .can u kindly explain that what u need. Thank !!!

if th page is a simple page (.aspx), for getting the control id in the javascript funciton , i am using the following funciton
document.getelementbyid("id")
it is working fine here.
now i have another aspx page , which is having a buttong control.now the page is a master page.if i try to get the control in the javascrit function , i ma not being able to get it , it is displaying the null message

Do this ....
There should be no html, head, body, div tage....... delete all upto body tage.......... all html content place inside the content place holder
and youse your javascripts

check out view source.You found button id as masterpageID_ButtonId.
I mean if your master page name "master" and your button is "id" then you have to found with 'master_id' in javascript.

I am Exporting The dataGrid Data To Excel..i have done it but the problem is in my grid lots of data So i have used Paging in That when i m exporting the Grid Data insted of Exporting Whole Data it export only those data which shown in Grid and i want to export whole data..
pls tell me how can i acheive my target..
