Why, tables are always good to format the page and align the controls in expected positions. I think creating design with tables will be good option. Usually div tag is used to group elements and to format with styles. Browsers will add a line break tag for each div. So creating entire page avoiding tables is not looking good to me.

Well i read that tables slow your app down. Even tho this app will only be used as intranets on networks so should be fine then.
I agree that using tables is the easiest way to setup "input/forms".
I do use div to setup the main layout tho.
Do you know of any resources on where I can find more info regarding writing actual web apps like windows apps not just normal web apps with a contact form. Im looking for help on writing websites which is based on alot of server side work.

I am writing a ASP.NET 2.0 web based application in which
I want the user to create & select a Folder using Windows Explorer.After the user creates and selects the folder, on pressing OK I should be able to get the PATH of the folder for storing in a database.
The problem is that there is nothing like FolderBrowserDialog in WinForms which allows me to select a Folder and get its path.
I got a good article in Code project but its written in VC++ 6.0.The article is

Can someone provide me the equivalent code in VC# Visual Studio 2005 or help me write a similar code. It will be greatly appreciated.

Hi to all,
I have problem in modal Dialog box , when I show modal dialog box at first time it show the "Title" but when I do any posback event on modal dialog page the title for modal box is disappeared...
Any one know any idea .... how to persist title of modal dialog box "After post back event".

Hi I have one usercontrol in that using repeater i shown some links in that template column...,
Now my question is,
The site maximize mode its showing the links asusual properly...,
But when i reduce the site size, in that time some links are showing down side,
I dont like to show those things down side,
In that time also the links have to be come same line...,
How to do that?,

For this, your tables which contains links and other elements should be sized in percentages. I mean giving a 100% width for table will resize the content when browser gets resized.

Eventhough when i resized the page i am getting the links in down side...,
See i have used that links in my usercontrol...,
I called that usercontrol in my aspx page...,
Now that usercontrols are displaying in that aspx form only...,
In that usercontrol table i given width=100%
But resizing window,i am getting some links in down side,

See that user control, i have a table in that i displayed the links...,
The table width is 100%...,
And that usercontrol i reffered in my aspx page...,
there,I wont tell that in any table...,
Just i inserted that user control in my aspx form...,

May be the cell that contains links won't have sufficient space to allocate links. Try increasing the width of that cell which contains links

There are seven checkboxes in my footer templet of the datagrid and also in the edit templet so my question is that i want a javascript for checking the status of that checkbox that wheather they are checked or not and also i want to maintain the status of that checkbox which are checked and store their value into the database. I require this script because i don't want to refresh the page and donot want to use required validator.
Please give me the solution as fast as possible for this question.

IFRAME will be having a pasteHTML/innerHTML (varies on different browsers) property, create table HTML tags with the user supplied values and pass it over to this.

Assume user is giving you the number of columns and rows needed. You have to create a JS variable which has HTML tags for making such a table. See the following sample
