Hi,
I am facing a problem ...I am using requiredfieldvalidator for dropdownlist and regularexpressionvalidator for textbox entering email address all these controls are placed in updatepanel(ajax)....first time error messages can see ..but after selecting one item from dropdownlist error message can't see but actual validation are taken place in the background...
how can i solve this..ie. how to show error messages while something failed,,,
please help me

Hi,
I'm using system.net.mail class and my smtpserver is localhost.
i found no errors in the code but my mails are storing in the mailroot/queue folder and its not delivering to the receipient.
My system is in network and using a proxy server, i'm using exchange server to get mails, is that anyway i need to reconfigure my system to send mail?
please help me

Because your local SMTP server won't be working. Start it from IIS settings

Don't repost the question. And the Expert's here can only share their knowledge and Idea's, can give some suggestion's to fix up your problem. I don't think someone will do your work and mail you the source code.

Well, this is a decent approach. 
You have to put text boxes and required buttons. For inserting into database you need
1 - SQLConnection instance
2 - SQLCommand instance
Call ExecuteNonQuery() method to insert data into database. After inserting fetch the data from database and bind it to the grid. For edit link, use TemplateColumn and link to another page where these data's are shown for editing.
These kind of questions are very basic, why don't you buy a good book and learn it your self, and post the problems you got here.

Write code to get data from the database on OnSelectedIndexChanged Event of DropDownList and Pass the selected value of dropDownList into storeProcedure.
You will get dataset.Assign ds to DataSource of Gridview and call DataBind Method of Gridview.

I want to store the image into the database as binary value .but the uploading will be done using javascript

do one thing...
are u maintaining user rights in database? if yes
create one session(assume it as Session["permissions"]) for user permissions. At the time of login retreive the user rights from database & store in the Session["permissions"].
Now, for each page load check with the permissions & accordingly set the control Read/write or Enable or Disable properties.
hope this will give u a solution.

I have totaly 25 different section with reports. so user can navigate to any section.In different section user have different permission of Read/Write. So How can I store so much session??? It will increase load........so plz adviced me another solution for this.......

again do one thing...
retrieve all the Read/write permissions from the DB & maintain different key-value in NameValueCollection object, store this NameValueColleciton object in the session...
got it....? then proceed.

So i given like this one string in my textbox...,
But its giving error as:
"A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client (txtaddress="Test <br>hi"). "
How to solve this one...,
