Regarding Background color yes u can give.Right click on rpt file and select Format Section and ull find the color.
For Displaying Grand Total u need to give formula for Field Explorer and insert the formula there and save it.

you can use

and if you want to just call a script function and you dont need to postbach the page, you can use

I have Gridview,in that I made one column as Hyperlinkfield. when I clik on data it is opening normal window.but I need a small window. How can I do this? I have tried a couple ways to do this but none have been successful.
I’m working with Asp.net2.0 and C#
pls see the following code. it is opening normal window in same page, but I want to open small window(not popup)separately, like popup window..

I think u can use window.open method with its parameters to set window size as u want. U can get some more details at following link

What do you mean by that? You want to create it in javascript or C#.
Incase of javascript it is alert("Message goes here");
And you can attach the javascript to a control by Attributes.Add method.

For string Key you need to write the event on which you want to call the javascript e.g. "onclick" and the value is javascript part. Suppose you have a button btnUpdate the it will be something like this:
btnUpdate.Attributes.Add("onClick", "alert('Message goes here');");
In place of alert you can also call a method written in javascript.

What you need to do is first write a javascript function in the HTML part of the page like this:
<script language="javascript">function test(){alert("Hello");}</script>
and then you can attach this to the control you want in the pageload event like this:
BtnView.Attributes.Add("onClick", "javascript:test();");
