Why do you need the .cs file on the server? There should be no need for this.
Have you looked at the Atlas framework that microsoft have been releasing - there's some good articles on this site about using callbacks.

If you have it all so that the dropdowns already work, how about updating a hidden field each time the selected item in a dropdown changes and then checking that hidden field on postback. Seems like an easier option...

Stick a hidden field on the page (marked as runat="server"), in your code that you created (javascript) to set the selected items of each item, set the .value of the hidden field.
In the code behind, you should be able to access this field like any other...

Hi,
I'm not sure whether this is an ASP.net question or an SQL one.
I have a table which holds a field for time estimate for each stage of a project to complete. The time estimate is in days, ie. 5 days for Stage 1, 15 days for Stage 2, 20 days for Stage 3.
In the project table, I need to have a field which will tell me the % of completion of the project according to number of stages completed. For instance, if Stage 1 & 2 are complete, the field should display 50%.
Any hint, suggestion, nudge in the right direction or down right code solution would be very much appreciated!

u can do that in the code behind
loop through the datatable or reader u have
and make the calculation on each row and check if the stage is completed u add its % to a total variable the make ur calculation

I am uploading the excel file in my current project.
The field with only alphabets and
the field with only numbers are beeing uploaded proprly
but the fields with alpha-numerics gives blank value while
uploading.
If anyone have any idia about this then

when i select a node the page is post back. i want to avoid page post back. there is no autopost back property for tree view.. then how can i avoid page post back each time when i select the nodes... also for server button i want to avoid auto post back false.

1 issue
iam passing a intger value to stored procdeure(sqlserver 2000) depending on value passed to backend a table has to be created dynamically with cloumns(i.e the columns should be the the value which we are passing from asp.net,c#)

I'm not sure if i got u right, but i think the answer should be like this:
- add a literal control to ur aspx page
- now in the code behind u should have a way to know which table schema has returned to build html tables (old asp style) using and in for loops this way u can customize it exactly as u want it

Any solution that requires dynamically creating database tables is the wrong solution. There is almost no exception to this rule.
Try explaining what you are trying to achieve and I guarantee you there is a more straightforward way to do it.
