first you must select a database and tables from enterprise manager which you want to insert excel table into.
then click the right button of the mouse and select import data.
The menu steps show you how to solve this problem.

but i can't use enterprise manager
i have to do that programatically in my asp.net application.

Two steps
1. Read Excel file into a dataset.

2. Insert values from dataset into sql server table.

If more than 25 users are accessing the same web server at a time.Suddenly some one's session got expired (But session time is 20 minutes and also their pages are active ,working on that).How can we avoid this problem. Is there any settting in machine.config for this?

Sir,

I am displaying pictures in datalist and have fixed the width and height of image control in datalist.Now the problem is in the type of pictures i.e landscape and portrait The datalist containing the image control is not differentiating b/w the landscape and portrait pictures.I want to show the difference in landscape and portrait pictures in the image control in datalist.Can somebody please send me any link.

Hi,

I would like to use IIS to host one asp.net website. The website will be used by many users simultaneously. I have 3 doubts to ask:

Does IIS allocate resources to these users one after another or does IIS use multi threads to process these users at the same time?

Also, regarding application settings, IIS 5.0 has Low, Medium, High. Does IIS 6.0 have any improvements over those of version 5.0?

Also, are the application settings related to multi threading?

hello i have got problem in fckEditor in Asp.net. i want to upload the image but i have got the Error "XML request Error :Internal server Error 500". i m not able to find the solution. Hi,

I want to show an alert box from the code behind file.I donot want to write anycode in the aspx.cs file. All script i need in the code behind itself and want to show alert box not on any event but on some particuar conditions like

protected void dropDownListDistributionGroup_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
int result;
if(Result==0)
{
// show alert box
}
}

Another Important thing , i want the alert box to be shown on the same open page . Not like this, it shows the message at blank page. ie (after postback)

You can't use server code to show an alert on the page that you send the postback from. When the request reaches the server, it's already decided in the browser that whatever the server returns will replace that page.

If you using visio studio to create it, you can simply change the style by
1. select the datagrid
2. open the properties windows
3.click the Auto Format
at there you can chose the predefined style of the datagrid.
