Many way to solve this problem.
1. In SQL select statement use the Declare variable with 50 length. and assign db value to that variable. and bind the same variable to grid(do string.concat(variable,"...").
2. At DataAccess layer, bind your entity variable with substracted value of DB value.

If you mean that you want to put the password back into a password input field after postback, that is not possible. You can't set the value of the field programmatically, neither in the html code nor using client script. The only way that anything is put in the field is by user input.
You can keep the entered password in a session variable, but you have to show it in another way on the page. You can for example show a text like ******* representing an entered password, and if the user clicks on the text to change it, you can display a password field.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

I am getting problem in putting text at the cursor location in freetext box which is place in a Place holder and .

It is successfully working in Mozilla But in Internet Explorer showing the below error.

i'm using sqldatasource in order to search a table item with the column name.
I want to search Name column for any word containing any letter found in the text box control.
I tried to write the following:
SELECT Name, Email FROM Item WHERE CONTAINS (Name , @Name)
The following error appears:
Cannot use a CONTAINS or FREETEXT predicate on table or indexed view 'Item' because it is not full-text indexed.
could you please help me.

Are you using OLEDB or SQL, there are Some SQL Functions that are not Available in OLEDB like you cant substring in OLEDB instead you MID.
SELECT Name, Email FROM Item
WHERE Name like '%@Name%'
