If I understand you correctly you want to be able to click a button on an admin page in your site and have that cause everyone who is currently browsing your site to get a pop-up.
You would have to do some work on every page in your site and have it check for an application variable or a database value or something. But even with that, unless you had something in your pages that causes them to auto-refresh constantly, it isn't going to display immediately. It would only show up when they do something to cause the page to reload.

Just use div and JS, you can control the display("none" or ""/"block") of the div by one action.

Hi,you can refer to:
<iframe id="treeFrame" name="treeFrame" frameborder="0" scrolling="0" width="100%" src="Tree.jsp">
<iframe id="contentFrame" name="contentFrame" frameborder="0" scrolling="0" width="100%" src="content.jsp" stype="height:expression(1);aho:expression(autoResize())">
<script type="text/javascript">
function autoResize()
{
try{
var hr = contentFrame.document.body.scrollHeight;
var hl = treeFrame.document.body.scrollHeight;
var height = Math.max(hr,hl);
document.all["contentFrame"].style.height = height;
document.all["treeFrame"].style.height = height;
}
catch(e){}
}
</script>

Ask you about the heroes of a web development technical issues, how to use Ajax technology to achieve dynamic image switching, that is, multiple pictures into a cylindrical rotating display, each user is always seen in front, a picture, the effect as the following website show: http://www.monex.co.jp/
|
|
|
|
|
Image galleries that appear to be wrapped around a cylinder are usually done with Flash, not AJAX. If you don't even have any code to start with, then the AJAX would probably be way too complex for you to implement. The first hit of a google search for cylinder image gallery has some downloadable flash templates.

And what if he doesn't want to buy the third party components? You don't need anything but CSS I know the language. I've read a book. - _Madmatt

You need to style the buttons yourself. Learn about CSS and apply styling the elements. Best wishes,

The default style that you see depends on the OS's style. The same form / button would be displayed differently on XP / Windows server.
Don't worry about button style displayed when you run the app locally on the server. Just open it from an XP client and check.
If you don't wish to take such chances use CSS and apply styling for the controls to get a uniform look and feel across [partial] browsers/OS.
HTH!

Hi there,
I’m new to this forum and I would really appreciate your help
My Scenario is an online music shopping site and I need to upload multiple songs without the need to make a sample for every single song
So I need to cut samples of songs such as an mp3 file without using external software, such as Audacity to use it in my website.
If this is possible could I start cutting from the middle part of the song.
I don’t need to resample the bit rate of the song just a sample would be enough.
Is there a way that I can do this by using a method or a control or a web service maybe !!
Thanks and Regards

URL rewriting ...[^] ...cmk
The idea that I can be presented with a problem, set out to logically solve it with the tools at hand, and wind up with a program that could not be legally used because someone else followed the same logical steps some years ago and filed for a patent on it is horrifying.

What you need is URL rewriting. Hiding the extension is supported by IIS7 and it provides much better methods to do URL rewriting. If you are using IIS7, you can easily get extension-less URLs working. On IIS6, this can be done using "Wildcard mapping" feature.
You can't achieve extension-less URLs without changing anything on IIS.Best wishes,

hi all,
I have made simple windows based application to illustrate the event fire when we click on the stop debugging button in VS 2008.
Actually, When i click on the "close" button of the form in the running application . It invokes the method as mentioned in the "form_load" event
e.g.
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Label1.Text = "Hello"
AddHandler System.Windows.Forms.Application.ApplicationExit, AddressOf abcMethod
End Sub
Private Sub abcMethod()
End Sub
but when i directly click on the "stop" debugging in the menu option in VS 2008,it doesn't go to the breakpoint inserted at the form_load event. I want to know which event fires at click of the stop debugging button in the menu option in vs 2008.
Thank you

Wrong forum: delete your post and move it to the c# forum.Tychotics: take us back to the moon

Maybe the .Net Framework Forum as it is a Visual Studio question really, or possibly the vb forum as that is the programing language used in the question, but the c# forum is a definite no, no.
