Hi Navin
I guess you know the requirements best !
So create it accordngly
If you just want a simple newsletter function..I suggest ...
1) create a webpage
2) for newsletter body, place a HTML editor in the page (e.g. fckeditor see fckeditor.net)
3) add controls/textboxes for collecting from, to, and subject fields
and do the programming ...
Hope this Helps

Hi Aravind,
thanks for your reply.
I have few doubts in getting forward for this application.
1.Is this fckeditor is free and doesnot need liscense in future.because if we are going to insert a third part tool it should not effect the application of the client in future.
2.How to implement the feature of unsubscribing in the application.
I am relatively new to this concept.Help me!
Thanks once again as no one answered for nearly 20 hours.!!!

We did a project a while ago using VB6 to create a desktop app for manipulating Powerpoint presentations (a bit like Powerpoint in that respect! )
Anyway, we need to do another one but the format of it would be most suited to a web app that people can connect to via a company intranet. The problem with that is that MS advise that you shouldn't run Powerpoint in a client-server environment, and having used it like that i'd have to agree.
So, my question is: does anyone know of any 3rd party apps that are suitable for running on a web server and that can provide functionality for changing Powerpoint presentations?
Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hello Coders
in my 2.0 GridView. I have TemplateColumn i.e CheckBoxes i am using. I kept a Delete Button on Top of the GridView. This is only one Delete Button for Deleting the Selected Rows from Grid. This Delete Button code is working fine.
I need delete confirmation Dialgbox when I am clicking the top most Delete Button(if any Row is Selected from GridView).
How to Handle this.
any sounds will be appriciated

In this case, you can use the OnClientClick of the Delete button to provide your custom client script to check if any row is selected, then display the confirm message with the confirm method.

This is exactly the kind of post that most on CP will either ignore, or publicly slam you for. Instead of doing either those things, I can direct you to something that will help you a lot:

I heard that AJAX can simulate "Multiple-Document Interface" in a webpage.
For example:
http://www.live.com/
http://www.meebo.com/
I have searched through the entire http://atlas.asp.net/ website and still
can't find any sample code that can do this.
Can someone enlighten me on how I can get those nice windows using AJAX?

Hi
I need to set the properties of a label programmatically. Those properties being the font weight and color. Is it possible to do so?
Thanks
|
|
|
|
|
Yes, Font color is accessible through the ForeColor property. Can't remember the font weight property, but worst case scenario would be to set the CssClass property to a css class which defines font weight according to what you want.
Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! Beierhund das oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!

This would set the label's font weight to bold and color to green:
<asp:Label id="lbl1" runat="server"
Font-Bold="true"
ForeColor="green" />
If you needed more control over the font weight, you could use CSS and assign a style class to the label:
<asp:Label id="lbl1" runat="server"
CssClass="myLabelClass" />
To set color & weight programmatically:
void Page_Load()
{
lbl1.Font.Bold = true;
lbl1.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.Green;
}

1) ur accessing the which version Page? either 1.1 or 2.0?
2) Check weather the the required framework is installed or not. if no. go to VS Command Prompt and type aspnet_regiis -i
3) If multiple verstions are installed in WebServer. right click on VirtualDirectory, to Props, goto ASP.NET Tab. Here u have to select required version to ur Applicaton.

Hello.
I would like to run a windows control in my aspx code (using the <object classid="dllname#namespace.controlname/">. I am able to display my control button in my webpage.
However, .Net security does not allow me to do much with it. All the information I found tells me I need to strongly name my assembly and then add it directly to .Net Configuration Runtime Security Policy. However, when I stronly name my assembly, in order for my control button to show up I must place the "
[assembly:AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers]" directive in my dll's code. In addition the compiler does not allow me to strongly name an assembly containing references to ones that are not, therefore I need to wrap the SHDocVw dll with a strong name as well. (I am using project->properties->wrapper assembly key file).
At this point I get in trouble, however. My control shows up and works fine on my web page. However, when it goes to create a SHDocVw.WebBrowser object I get the error "That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers". I cannot find a way to get around this. I need the web browser control to be able to access the web browser on the client machine for the project I am trying to achieve, and I cannot find another way to do it besides using the SHDocVw.dll. However, I also cannot seem to find any way to get around all the permission stumbling blocks. I am sure someone has done this before, and figured out what needs to be done. Please help!
Thank you
~Y
PS. I need to do this in .Net 1.1 I cannot resort to .Net 2.0 for this.
